An Update From Atlantic City

Posted by Ryan
June 26, 2010

Hi from Harrah's, everyone.  We're a mere 6.5 hours away from our lobby call to head up to New York where we'll sing the National Anthem at the Mets/Twins game, so forgive the brevity of this blog.  (blevity)

We are in full swing rehearsing for our "Songs Through the Decades: With a Twist" show here in Atlantic City.  All the music has been taught by Dan and Walt, who have put in hours upon hours arranging some outstanding new repertoire for the summer.  I've posted some teasers from rehearsals on my Facebook page, so check those out when you get a minute.

Every morning when we arrive at the theater, we get more and more excited about putting this show on (just a week away...we have so much left to do!).  The lights, set, costumes, choreography...everything is as new to us as it will be to those of you who will be making the trip out to AC to see the show.  Spoiler alert:  there will be white tuxedo jackets worn at one point on stage.  They look really sharp.  (It's the little things that excite us, you know.)

Thanks, as always, for your support and words of encouragement here on the website, Twitter, Facebook, the SNC Fan Chat podcast, in person at the shows, etc.  We undoubtedly have the best fans a group could ask for and we wouldn't be in AC if it weren't for you.  On that note, thanks for stopping by and good night.

Ryan

PS - I'm looking forward to seeing the interaction between Walt and Tyler specifically tomorrow at the game; Walt's a lifelong Mets fan and Tyler is a die-hard Twins fan!  We'll see how it goes; I'm sure there will be a picture posted at some point from the game, so keep an eye out...

I just returned from seeing your (amazing) concert at Harrah's Saturday night - my sister (your newest fan!) and I had a great time, and I couldn't stop smiling during the show! The new arrangements, choreography, and suits only added to the pure entertainment you guys offer. I can't say enough wonderful things about your shows - I'm sure it's safe to speak on behalf of your fans, but we are very thankful for all you've given up to be on tour for so long - and to take time out to post on the blogs, Twitter, and Facebook! Thanks! The SNC-take on Madonna is incredible - I hope it makes its way to being released as a single sometime soon!

UGGGGGG! I was in line at Carlo's Bakery (cake boss) on Saturday looking for last minute tickets to the game! I should have gone! It would have made it better sitting in the nosebleeds watching SNC! :(

Thanks for the update Ryan, especially considering how busy all of you are.

Julie, love the idea of a dvd or blue ray. Have the show and then some behind the scenes stuff.

Ryan, as everyone else has already said, it's great that you guys take the time to post on here and facebook, twitter, etc. I don't know that any of us knew before what goes into touring, recording, or promoting a musical group before. You've all been wonderful to share it with us and I, for one, have a new appreciation for the hard work and effort that goes into your work.

Now, who do we have to talk to about this "Live from Harrah's" DVD idea? I'm just saying...

Thanks for the note, Ryan. For all of you next week, "break a leg!" Will there be video posted of the National Anthem, perchance? White tux jackets....this makes me sad, since I know I won't be able to get there.

btw -- Were the winners of the tickets for next weekend ever announced???

Enjoy the game and perhaps you will need to be the ref in the stands between Walt and Tyler.

    Stay safe and God bless.

Way back in the '80's a very wise group once sang

"They come running just as fast as they can. 'Coz every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man."

I can only imagine what's going to happen when there's 10 sharp dressed men...

Thanks Ryan for always keeping us posted!!

Ooooo!! White tux jackets!!! I'm excited for that! Sharp indeed! Is the game going to be nationally televised tomorrow?
