VOICES CARRY: Two of music's most successful a cappella acts enjoy milestone weeks.

With a 2-1 lift on Top Contemporary Jazz Albums, Bobby McFerrin's first collection in eight years, "VOCAbuLarieS," becomes his first No. 1 on a Billboard chart since 1992, when "Hush" spent 17 weeks atop Top Classical Crossover Albums. The new release is McFerrin's first champ on Top Contemporary Jazz Albums since "Simple Pleasures" in 1988.

On the Billboard 200, Straight No Chaser's "With a Twist" enters at No. 29, its highest career ranking. The group's "Christmas Cheers" peaked at No. 38 in December.

    Actually, they're 176 on iTunes, but wasn't it available for pre-sale purchase there? That only means that more of them were sold earlier, doesn't it?

    Isn't it amazing how groups that are unique in their own way, like our boys, never seem to get the attention they deserve until the record sales climb even though we the fans knew their was something special in their talent two or more years earlier...CONGRATS STRAIGHT NO CHASER on another milestone!

    To SheriS: Hearing them sing and seeing them perform will certainly make fans of them.

    4/15 Amazon had With A Twist at #14--today it is #23 with 38 days in Top 100! Couldn't find it on iTunes as they list only the top 10--on 4/15 the album was #5. Not too shabby for a group that a lot of people have never heard of and haven't heard them really sing!
