Hello from Toronto's Queen Elizabeth Theatre, everyone! I wanted to take a quick minute before our show tonight and wish all who have served our Country a very special Veterans Day full of reflection and pride. To our Canadian neighbors, we are honored to be performing here on Remembrance Day and have enjoyed seeing your collective show of appreciation (red poppy boutonnieres everywhere!) of your servicemen and women's sacrifices.
A year ago today, SNC was privileged to sing the National Anthem at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. The pride we witnessed there amongst those Veterans - from all branches of the military and various foreign wars - was humbling, inspiring, and an experience we will never forget.
Today, let us all pause to be grateful for the sacrifices, service, and selflessness of our Veterans, some of whom have paid the ultimate Price for our freedoms. If you are an active-duty serviceman or woman reading this here at home or overseas, thank you for what you do daily to ensure our safety and security. May God bless you and your families who support, love, and miss you.
On that note, time to get in my suit and give Toronto a show with the guys!
Happy Veterans Day.
Ryan
