    Oh, Canada!

As I type this blog, we are literally driving through the border into Canada.  The next 4 days should be a great time, but a struggle as we will be without our phones, Twitter and Facebook.  Please excuse our silence for the next few days!

Things are going very well on tour and we're really stoked to get some more time in Canada.  We've got 3 shows (Toronto, Belleville, and Montreal)

Well, right after I typed that last line, we all had to get out at customs as they inspected our bus.  We're all back on and most are going back to bed (it's about 1:30am).

Thank you all so much for the support with the show attendance, cd sales, and just flat out positive energy.  This is precisely the reason we are all doing this; for you, the fans.  There's nothing more gratifying than looking into the audience during a song and seeing nothing but smiles.  I don't think I could pick "the best" audience thus far as all of them have been fantastic.  We really could not ask for more.

On a personal note, we had a day off today on our way to Toronto in Lansing, MI (so Dave our bus driver could get some rest).  My brother, mom, and 3 nieces (Lily - 4, Alana - 2, and Amelia - 2) drove up to visit.  It was so great spending time with them.  Being away from those 3 girls is incredibly tough!  Just wanted to give a quick shout out and thank you to them for making the drive!

Toronto bound, it's time to get some sleep!  Again, please excuse our silence for the next few days and leave us lots to read when we get back to the States.

Also, I lost to Jerome in our Fantasy Football league this week, snapping my 5 week win streak.  Not happy about that.  Peyton Manning, if you're reading this, you let me down this week.

Hey Robin, we're honored that you are sharing your birthday with us! We're excited for the show, as I type, I'm sitting in the dressing room waiting for sound check. The theater, I mean "theatre" is gorgeous and I'm stoked to get out onto that stage! Mickie, thank you so much for the kind words. We had a great time at "Breakfast Television" today!

I can't believe that it's finally here. I've had tickets for tonight's concert pretty much since they went on sale. It's my 30th birthday today - and I get to celebrate it with you guys, front row! Your concert last year in Toronto was absolutely amazing, and I'm sure that you'll be even better tonight. I'm counting down the hours, see you soon!! r

Hey everyone, I'm new here. My kids and I just caught you on Breakfast Television this morning. We live out near Kingston Ontario Canada. I was completely floored when my four kids (ages 5-10) sat in front of the tv bright and early this morning when you guys performed and didnt make a peep! I have 2 of them home sick from school today and they loved the second performance you guys did! They want me to buy your CD now, may make a perfect Xmas gift! Thanks for the great start to our day today (well, namely mine, anything that quiets my kids down is awesome!) :) Keep up the great work!!

Although I thought about trying to go to all three shows, it looks like I'll only make it to Montreal on Friday. Although I really think that next year you'll have to play in Ottawa so I don't have to drive. Last year their show in Toronto was on a day with a snowstorm between Ottawa and Toronto and it took me just over seven hours to get there. The good thing is that I had given myself enough time to still make it for the beginning of the show. Can't wait for Friday!

S - No, its more like when the space ship goes behind the dark side of the moon. Hey, theres a good one Pink Floyd "The lunatic is in my head". (just for you S) lol I believe you can communicate while under water, if you choose. Behind the moon, you can't. Hmmmm.....To my northern friends, I love Canada! Please don't think that I am comparing your beautiful country to the dark side of the moon (although I guess I just did). Its was simply an analogy for S! Toronto is one of my favorite cities to play around at. Seen the Jay's, Phantom of the Opera (twice), Tony and Tina's Wedding and The Lion King. Montreal is simply beautiful. Mount Royal, St. Joseph's Oratory, Notre-Dame Basilica, Olympic stadium to see the Expos (before they left), Botanical Gardens, Biddles and Alexanders Cafe......okay the last two were watering holes......but they were great watering holes! Anyways.....my Canadian friends....please post lots of comments/reviews and pictures! Dave

Can't wait to see you guys perform Saturday at Proctors. I got hooked on your song "12 days of Christmas" last year and thought it was great. See you Saturday.

Is this kind of like when a submarine goes under and can't communicate? ;-) Have fun in Canada. Only been there once on a very short trip but would like to go back some time.
