PBS Taping / New SNC Members

Tonight was a big night for SNC! This evening, we taped our first-ever televised concert special, to air nationally on PBS this December! We couldn't be more excited and we can't wait for you to see the full concert when it airs a few short months from now!

Also, we want to let you know that there have been a few personnel changes within Straight No Chaser. As many of you know, we all had "normal" lives and day jobs before our lucky break on YouTube caused us to reunite, record, and tour again all through 2008. This hectic schedule continued into 2009, which was quite a strain on all of us, but particularly the two guys in the group who now have children with their lovely wives. Both Michael Itkoff and Steve Morgan have decided to leave Straight No Chaser, so that they can spend more time at home, enjoying daily life with their wives and young children. We are disappointed at losing their voices in the group, but we are happy to say that we haven't lost their friendship. We are all still as close-knit as we could possibly be, and you'll likely see Michael and Steve in the audience when we perform near their home cities!

That brings us to the next part of the news - Straight No Chaser has two new members! After learning of Michael Itkoff and Steve Morgan's desire to step-out of their very active roles in the group, we went on a search for two suitable new singers, holding private auditions in Chicago. We needed great voices and great personalities, and guys who were ready to have their lives turned upside down by recording and touring! We found just what we needed in two former collegiate SNC members, Seggie Isho, originally from Rochester Hills, Michigan, and Tyler Trepp, originally from Urbandale, Iowa. They are great additions to the group and we can't wait for you to meet them at our shows this fall!

We have a photoshoot later this week, so look for photos and full profiles on Seggie & Tyler on our website in the coming weeks!
