Hey hey SNC land!
Ok so here we are after a week and a half of tour. This tour has started off on fire!
Every show has been sold out so far, so the houses have been jam packed and extremely rowdy, which we love!
A few firsts on this tour....
SNC's first trip to Colorado and Kansas City.
Dan got engaged on stage in front of a sold out crowd at the Chicago Theater.
(can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EU2rP8SW8bI)
SNC's first time selling out the IU Auditorium in Bloomington.
SNC’s first pop album “With A Twist” was released!
SNC will be on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Friday April 16th.
I got my first Boston haircut. (This isn’t really relevant to the group, just thought I’d throw that in to make sure you’re still paying attention)
I still cannot believe the turnouts at our shows. The autograph lines get longer and longer after each show and I have the same reaction everytime. "WOW! How do all of these people know who we are?!" I don't know how long it will take to set in, but this does not seem like it will ever get old.
There was a moment in Bloomington really blew me and the guys away. We were back stage and had just finished our show. Indiana University's men's basketball coach, and our very good friend Tom Crean was in attendance at our show. I get back into my dressing room after the final encore and see that my twitter page has updated. What was the top tweet?
"The essence of teamwork is watching STRAIGHT NO CHASER perform. Big time! Buy the new CD TOMORROW! Its being released"
-Tom Crean
What an incredible compliment. Coming from someone we all look up to and have great respect for, this really blew us away.
Our gratitude to all of you fans literally cannot be expressed in words. Just know that we continue to perform night in and night out for you! I know we say this all the time, but we owe all of our success to you. Without your support there would be no SNC. Just know that every time we set foot on stage, it is completely safe to assume that the show you are about to see is fully dedicated to you.
Show tonight in Hartford, CT. Gorgeous city and an amazing venue, The Bushnell. 2,828 seats and its completely sold out. I’m still confused as to how all of these people know who we are! Well, its time to sound check and get into show mode (which basically means, I turn up my music on my laptop, which is currently Justin Nozuka’s new album….he’s awesome if you didn’t know…but I suggest “With A Twist” for you :) ). Time to make myself a hot toddy and enjoy a nice fresh apple.
Enjoy your upcoming weekend and don’t forget to catch us on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tomorrow night at 12:30am. If you’re going to be out on the town or asleep, don’t forget to set your DVR’s! Remember like 15 years ago when one would have said to set your VCR to record? We’ve come so far.
Hope to see you all at some point on this tour…or in Atlantic City this summer!
