Hey Bonny-- S. Brandon actually isn't a member of SNC, but she *is* the new Chaser of the Month! She's a fan like you and me. ;-) As far as I know, no one has left the group very recently; the last member who left the group was Dan Ponce, and Don Nottingham took his spot. Hope that clears things up a bit!

Okay, I think part of my problem is that I'm dense. I misread the "check your local listings" as meaning the START time for the show could be anywhere from 4:00 to 6:00. Now that I reread this, I interpret it to mean the show starts at 4 and ends at 6, and I need to check to make sure my local NBC station is running it. Duh. (TV guide web site still not helpful, though!)

It was a fantastic show - my mother and I drove from NY to OH to watch it taped...I saw Carla, Rich (I think it's Rich - sorry - rsmith) and Dave was across the ice. Can't wait to watch it on tv as well!

My PVR (I'm Canadian) is set! 2-4pm here! I'm stoked! :) I love SNC and figure skating so I'm thinking that inviting people over and popping some popcorn and making hot chocolate might be a good plan for the afternoon! :D

I had DVR'd the Skating when Foreigner was on it. As I was watching it back, fastfwd thru the ads--lo & behold, I spotted the name STRAIGHT NO CHASER!!!. Wahoo!!!! I am really looking forward to this show & I have my DVR set already. Here on the left coast, I believe it is on at 1pm on NBC. The Seahawks in the morning & SNC in the afternoon. It doesn't get much better than that!! (COLD eeze is a perfect sponsor for ice skating, don't you think??)

I couldn't find it in my DVR listings (as supplied by my cable service), but I stumbled onto the fact that I could set it up for that date and time manually without is specifying the program. Sure hope it comes out right! Come to think of it, does anyone know if there is football or anything else on before it that might delay the start of the program?

Beware of TV guide-type descriptions! My AT&T U-Verse listing describes the 2009 "Skate..." and does not list any of the current cast - so no mention of SNC! We saw this in Youngstown when it was being taped in October. Awesome show - although the focus was on the skaters rather than the musical guests. Hope the edited tape has good close ups of SNC because our view was impaired by the NBC camera that was between us and the stage! Also saw SNC in Cleveland on Dec 15th. Way better show...and tickets were 1/3 the cost of the skating show! Sat in the 3rd row----great close-up opportunity!

I saw the following on the Life Line Screening blog (one of the sponsors for the Skate for the Heart NBC Special this Sunday) posted by their Communications Director who attended the taping: "Musical acts include: David Archuleta and Ruben Studdard from American Idol and Straight No Chaser, a fantastic acappella group that really brings the house down." I'll definitely be DVRing this!
