In lieu of the Straight No Chaser Advent Calendar this year, we decided to create something a bit different. For Christmas this year, we present you with a reading of "'Twas The Night Before Christmas" (AKA "A Visit from St. Nicholas") told the only way we know how ... the Straight No Chaser way. Enjoy.

LOL! Especially the very last part with DR and Seggie. *Click!* (yanks on Seggie's scarf).

HaHa!! Lip synching was the best. "Twas the Night Before Christmas" with a twist. Thanks for the laughs, gentlemen! (Had to re-watch this a week or two later for fun!)

SEGGIE keeps that beat going from his fingertips to his toes for TYLER to hit those high notes while ROME sings and dances with all that soul across the stage. DAVE'S eye contact with the audience is like he is singing only to you. MIKE interprets a song that comes deep from his soul and is Great to listen to all day long. CHARLIE is so quick with his wit while WALT keeps those arrangements fresh and lively. RYAN'S singing makes it all look so easy and fun and DON has added a new sound and seems like he has been with this Crazy group of guys forever. How do they keep it going All year for their fans? this STRAIGHT NO CHASER group... Every chaser would have missed so much if Randy had not posted that YouTube video! Thank you for another great year of music and entertainment. Happy Holidays to you and your families and thanks to them for sharing you with us all year long. You miss so many milestones with them while you are on the road so enjoy your time with them. Wishing you and all your crew a Happy and Healthy New Year...

I've watched it a few times... or more... and it's just too funny :)

"A Christmas Story" has the famous "leg lamp." I, too, want the "SNC 'Twas the Night Before Christmas" Seggie lamp for my front window! =)

@S. Brandon- I was thinking throwing up a sash would hurt a little bit! =] So many fun things in this. Randy and Mike switching mouths, Blake in the background, Don's facial expressions, the Seggie Lamp (I still want one!). And I was thinking it said "Straight" Nicholas, too. Thank you guys for being so amazingly cool to your fans, and sharing such a big part of yourselves with us. You are amazing men! Happy Holidays to you all...

brilliant:) thanks for bringing a smile back into my day (which had been long and bad) and inspiring me to finish writing out my Christmas cards:) Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays to all!!

I'm with the people looking for the lamps...we've been needing new ones for a while. And for Randy, who was narrating "threw up the sash" -- don't eat so much sash.

I wish SNC still did webisodes. Those first few were awesome.

Have to watch this more than once to catch everything. Ryan apologizing for shutters, creepy Charlie spinning in his chair, Dave poking Walt's belly, the lamp...too much! This almost pulled me out of my bad mood.
Nesa's picture

Oh, that would be awesome! I agree with Maria!

I just thought of something, and I think my fellow Chasers will agree, this video needs to be followed up with a gag reel!! Think of it as a New Year's Eve gift!! :) Because old acquaintance should never be forgotten.... :D

This is incredibly fantastic! Thanks for doing it. Merry Christmas to you & yours! :)

Ah, thank you guys, SO much! I love our 'annual' Christmas surprises from SNC--never know what our present will be, but this one is the topper so far! Thank you for a new Christmas tradition! Big Christmas hugs to all!

Eileen - Yes you're right the GPS voice in US phones always interprets "St" as Street (not sure if in Canada it would say Saint or Street) And goofball Don (he cracks me up EVERY time I watch this) is lip-synching to Charlie's pre-recorded voice

I saw the link on facebook while I was on my lunch break, and finally got to watch it, twice! I may have to watch it a few more times before the night is over. That was great, and made my night after a long day of work! This brought a huge smile to my face! Thank you for being yourselves guys! I hope you all have a Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, a Happy New Year, and most importantly time off for rest with your family and friends! :)

OMGosh!! I knew we were kindred spirits. I have recited this to my children for almost sbe.xtglebenty years on Christmas Eve. Now I have two grandsons that will be with me this year. The tradition lives on...and now I share it with you. I have some "Twas..." stories on my blog, Book of Nature Days, and a couple more coming up. Happy Holidays guys. P.S. Walt, my son-in-law is Jewish too so we know about the dreidel and blue and white wrapping paper. P.P.S. Do you know that "Twas..." is set to music? That was how I learned it. We had a 45 rpm recording by Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians, a great group, but before I knew about a capella.

CUTE!!! Everyone's newest, and now most favorite version of this poem!!! KUDOS TO DR for "ere", he drove out of sight!!" And was Tyler reading a teleprompter on the first go-round?? ha! BEST three and a half minutes (or rather, at least 10 and 1/2 minutes!) I've spent today!! Can we look forward to your reading of "The Christmas Carol" next year?? Merry Christmas everyone!! ("SingforMe" Alex...AMAZING "Christmas" TREE!!! ^ ~ ^)

I posted this on Seggie's Facebook after I watched the video earlier today... Dear Santa, I have been a really good girl this year and I have been racking my brain to come up with the perfect gift request. Sorry that this is kind of a last minute thing but I was watching this video and noticed a lamp. Yes I know this is strange but you have to understand that it is a total fit in my decorating scheme. My friends call it eccentric but never "tacky". So, if you could help a girl out...say "hi" to Rudolph for me and maybe he could help since he knows a little about lights himself :) Thanks and Merry Christmas!!

I think it's "Street" Nicholas- the phone-voice is interpreting "St." as Street instead of Saint. What was up with Don- did he prerecord his lines & then lip-synch for the video? Goofball! After watching a few more times, I noticed that Mike had Korby's radio.

Love this so much had to replay it! Yes! I heard "Straight Nicholas" too! Thanks guys!

Can someone tell me where I can buy a lamp like that? Tiffany's? or on Street NIcholas? Great stuff, guys!

Anyone else hear this on the iphone "....with a sleigh full of toys and Straight Nicholas, too."????
