I've been impressed with the number of fan suggested songs and even explanations with why you'd love to hear the song! I think that thread has over 200 comments now. I've also seen a few future Album names suggested throughout reading different discussions and comments.
SNC has clearly come up with some great names, so they have a real knack for it, but I'm curious...
If you could name the album that comes after "With a Twist", what would it be?
It works for movies, and With a Twist, was just so perfect, in describing their style, so how about,
"With a Twist: Another Round" or "Round Two" or "Keep Them Coming".
Let's face it, none of us will hesitate to buy their next CD, no matter what it is called, but it is fun to
speculate!
Straight No Chaser - Straight Up??
I love Shaken not Stirred - I thought of that about 2:00 this morning and was going to post it when I saw another already did. @Marcaich - great minds think alike!
I love Straight Up!! Or course if we are talking about copy right laws...then we have the Paula Abdul song to worry about...
If we are looking for drinking terms, how about "Neat"? "Give it to me Neat"? "I'll Take It Neat"? "Served Neat"?
Straight up!
I'm getting a hangover just reading this thread.
Yikes! I just went thru all the posts, I guess mine have been suggested already. OK, I'm still thinking. My brain hurts.
How about STIRRED NOT SHAKEN or STIRRED AND SHAKEN..maybe not. kinda hard to say..
Someone else suggested that (5 o'clock) a while back, Dottie, but I'm pretty sure they don't want to get into a copyright thing with Jimmy Buffet. Happy Hour doesn't do anything for me particularly, and you're entitled to your opinion. ;-) I like Straight Up, though.
Should have read everyone else's posts before commenting!! I, too, thought of Another Round (seems like a no brainer, but that's been done before.) I also thought of On the Rocks, but might get confused with the A Capella group from the Sing Off. I LOVE Mary's idea...Straight Up. Very nice.
And sorry for saying Happy Hour was cheesy...I see about a dozen people have already said that! Sorry everyone! :(
I've already said this somewhere....but I like "It's 5 o'clock Somewhere"...although it *is* a Jimmy Buffett song. ;p
Happy Hour is kind of cheesy I guess...unless someone else already said that one, then *oops* I mean it's only cheesy if it's my idea. LOL
Seriously though...something with the word "draft"...draft like beer, yes, but also draft like "selection"? Something like "A New Draft" or "Choice Draft" "Our Favorite Drafts"....maybe that's too much like writing. I dunno...
"Shaken not Stirred" ?
Oh my goodness! Haha, I just read some old posts, and I thought S. Brandon was commenting on my "Another Round" suggestion...and then discovered another "Jennifer" posted it. I guess great minds (named Jennifer) think alike! WTG!
..Ok, last suggestion for the night. "Confessions from a Barstool".
"Straight Up"
Barbara, I love "Served Neat" which means "an undiluted shot of liquor served at room temperature" no juice or mixer with it. Just like SNC, no accompanying music with it. Really appropriate. And it doesn't directly relate or encourage alcohol, which I don't think they want to do.
Straight No Chaser: "Another Round"
--or--
"A Night Out With 'The Guys"
Prohibition
I missed this thread when I first came on the site, so it's fun to see someone respond to an older post, and involve the rest of us.
Not being much of a drinker, and not sure if that's the message that they want to send, now that SNC has been out of college for awhile, I tried to think of some "gentler" drinking terms, and so I offer,
"Uncorked", "Served Neat", "Eye Opener", "Vintage" and "Night Cap".
Not sure if they've been suggested before, since I didn't read all the comments yet. I also love the idea of "Happy Hours" .
Bar Sugar!
"Open Bar"?
OMG Kary! Those are priceless! ;-)
what about "21 & Up"???
"No Fake I.D's"?
LOL Carla...SellsNoCDs...Thank you, Itkoff.
Oh - thanks, Kim. I recommend NOT using something that the IU group has used. People still get confused between the two buying tickets; we don't want to add anything else to that mix.
"Neat?" I know "On the Rocks" was mentioned previously. Ooh! How about one that includes both the theme and Miss Julie's 15 minutes of fame? "May I See Your I.D.?"
The Hangover Album?
