    The Grammys

OK.... so I am not sure of how many of you are/were watching the Grammy awards, but they are doing a salute to the Beach Boys and started out with Maroon 5 singing "Surfer Girl"... of course, my SNC overload brain immediately started singing "Jersey Girl". Anyone else?

On a side note, as much as I would have loved to see them sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, I really think that they should be invited to participate in a music awards show soon. They definitely deserve to be there more than someone like "Chris Brown". Not only can our guys sing... and kinda dance... but they are all true gentlemen in every sense of the word!!!

TraciP... how old is your son? I will be getting tickets for the Reading show hopefully tomorrow as soon as this tax check clears the bank. My son is 9 and I thought about getting seats that were apart, but he is too young. So, I hopefully will see you there!

GML- My sister won't even give them a chance. She didn't like 12 Days (WHAT?? HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE????) And won't give anything else a chance. She rolls her eyes at me whenever I talk about them. I bought my ticket to see them in Reading in April, and bought one, because no one else would go with me. Then my son got mad cause I didn't get him one! So he's sitting in the balcony, while I sit floor level. I have him sort of converted, so that's good! =]

Wow GML.... it's like listening to myself and my best friend talk when I was reading about you and your sister. She has MANY MANY times called me obsessed. I have told her simply that yes I am but the difference between me being obsessed with these wonderful men and her being (slightly less admittidly) obsessed with Jon Bon Jovi is that I have met all of these wonderful gentlemen... not once, but twice and not only that but my child has gotten a shout out from the guys (specifically Charlie) at a concert and became a mini-celeb our first concert. Anyone who can make my son feel as special as he did that night deserves all the love I have for the guys!

I believe there are no non-Chasers, just Chasers who haven't realized it yet!!! It seems those closest to us sometimes have the hardest time! (Being the older sister, I just think she wish she had discovered them first!! I wouldn't be surprised!!) I have also found that while most people are attracted to passion, it really turns some people off. I just use the "less is more" approach with them, and they seem to come around. Passion scares some people, and I can understand that with so many people passionate about some negative things in this world!

To me, there is something sooo rich and attractive, and Manly about an all male a capella group.... its like having a Real man compared to a schmuck for a boyfriend, spouse, or significant other! No comparison! lol :-)

@mama2josh23 - I know what you mean! It totally amazes me how some people just don't automatically "get" SNC right off the bat. My sister was so on my case with " you're obsessed with these guys" etc. etc. etc..and with disgust in her voice at times (as if that would stop me!!)n That is until....with genuine excitement I told her how they were gonna have a CRUISE!!! Trying to be nice, she asked where they were cruising to...without "skipping a beat" I quickly, yet genuinely quipped "WHO CARES"??!!!!! Knowing how genuine I was, she just bust out laughing and couldn't stop!! I added: "They could STAY IN THE PORT and sing the phone book, and I wouldn't care - I'd be happy!! I believe it was at this point she surrendered, realizing she would never bring me down from CLOUD 10!! NEVAH!!! To my amazement, just yesterday when I was telling them of some of the shenanigans, she said: When I get my computer fixed, I'll have to check them out! I almost fell off my bed!! (Music to my ears!!) I found a common thread that she could relate to! All I can say, is..,,,LOVE NEVER FAILS!!! (She usually just automatically has such great taste in music, being a musician and performer, herself!)

GML.... I agree. I would love for groups like SNC (but especially SNC) to get the recognition that they most certainly deserve. I managed to be stuck with reluctant friends and I can't get them on the SNC bandwagon. One of them has said that they are "ok, but I don't like it when groups change up the song from the original". Normally I completely agree with her, but I have explained to her that the way that they change it up it isn't that far off the originals and after conveniently only playing SNC several times she was in the car with me, she agreed. However, I don't forsee myself getting her to go to a concert anytime in the near future. My other best friend just won't even listen to them. I keep trying to explain to her that she doesn't know what she is missing and it isn't that she doesn't like acapella cause she watched "The Sing Off" and she was in show choir in HS. She said that she doesn't like the fact that there are no girls in the group. I personally think she is kinda looney... lol. However, don't worry everyone, I am not giving up. As much as I would love everyone to also LOVE SNC, I am kinda torn because the more people who love them, the more people who will come to their concerts... at some point in time the M&G will just get to be too much and I don't want them to ever stop them.

Great discussion @mama2josh23! The only reason I can't really enjoy these shows, is because what I consider The Best music around (SNC's) isn't even on the mention!! I simply cannot wait until they are, AND they SWEEP every category they can!! All I can think while watching is...I'm so looking forward to that day!!.....then the song that comes to my mind.....Hold on, I'm comin'....hold on, 'cause I'm comin'!

I am glad I wasn't the only one! I literally was singing "Jersey Girl" instead of listening to Maroon 5. And I do like Adam Levigne.

I also totally agree with you! I did the same thing all I could hear was "Jersey Girl"!

I totally agree! Also, who the heck is Bon Ivers (I think that's the band's name)? All the other people in that category were well known. It reminds me of the time Metallica got edged out of (I think) the Best Metal Artist category by Jethro Tull. Jethro Tull? Really??!!
