    Dave Love Thread

     

    Well kids, it is time to start another love thread (mostly so the other band members do not get too jealous with all the Seggie/Randy love that has been bouncing around this web site but also cuz i was told to start this thread...under threat!  Imagine!!!)

    Actually, all kidding aside, i feel honored to start this love thread for Dave...or DR, whichever you prefer, because as time goes by, i am realizing how much he brings to the group and also he is terribly...um..well..let us just say, Dave has swagger. 

    So Chasers, get your love thoughts together and let's hear it for ....(drum roll please)....DAVE ROBERTS!!!!!

i am a BAD love thread hostess..oy vey! So to repent...here comes a long and rambing post. YAY. So....it's an odd thing to be writing a LOVE post for a man who went from single to married...there is that line that no self-respecting Chaser would ever cross and so one wants to be careful to respect Dave and his wife (that being said....if ya ain't married you are fair game...) ahem.so where was i?: oh yes...crossing lines. Right, so as to not offend, i was trying, over the past few concerts, to gage Dave on stage and see if that playful swagger was gone from him or if he still could give 'us' what we need. (What a girl wants...what a girl needs...) Mercy! my filter just won't work.

ANYWAY...the first concert i attended post Roberts wedding...there was a bit of a difference. Maybe it was in me though cuz i was trying to behave (and if you really know me, you know that is an all-day job) but i was like "oh rats the swagger is changed.." Course it could've been exhaustion from recording and then flying from the West Coast to the East but whatever...i wasn't trying to be rationale...i wanted that smile and swagger, dang it!

But kids, i am happy to report that the swagger lives on. i believe it is better than ever, and we probably have his wife to thank for that. "Get Ready" as we ALLLL know is one of my favs mainly cuz of Dave's take a knee, sing and smile that kinda makes a gal pass out for a min and on the cruise i think there were multiple women passing out from that smile and knee thang alone.

So here's to the Swagger of Mr. David Roberts...may it live long, strong and continue to make women swoon all across the globe.

Wanted to add my congrats to Dave and his lovely bride, Sara. May God bless you with many many wonderful years together...and may you always be singing! (kinda hard to fight when you're singing a happy tune, right??)

So last weekend i was able to see SNC two times. Pretty sweet all the way around. First of all, LOVE spending time with other Chasers, that goes without saying, but also the guys did not disappoint at all. The concerts were fantastic and i about fell on the floor oh...nineteen times in the first concert and 27 in the second. But i am wobbly-kneed like that around them.

And this guy? This David Roberts guy? Good heavens! There is just too much to write at present. He continues to delight with his singing and his smile and well, all ya'll know how i feel about that 'knee thang' with "Get Ready." So let me not embarass myself too much and just say that Dave is awesome.

Oh and in case anyone was worried...there were no wardrobe malfunctions and i did not swoon. Almost but i grabbed onto Ruthie and was ok. #closecall

Laura, he is pretty spectacular, isn't he?! Kinda surprising how he quietly and surreptitiously sneaks glances at folks in the audience during shows. Sneaky guy! Fun to watch on stage. :)

Happy, happy birthday to Dave! Not only the day of his birth, but also the anniversary of SNC signing their contract with Atlantic Records!

I learned during the last year to really watch DR during the shows as much as possible. He has it going on in such a subtle way, but he will knock your socks off if you pay attention. Can't wait to see him and the guys in a few weeks!

Almost an entire month with no Dave Love? Shock and horror!! Common Chasers, let's show this guy some appreciation, love, admiration, scruff update/opinions or just general infatuation...whatever suits you.

i for one, am looking forward to hearing the Dave Voice in April! Can't wait.
