You know you are a resident of Chaserville when:

    - You check up on the Discussions on sncmusic.com more often than checking out what's new on Facebook.

    - You have started #beeping eachother in discussions

    - You have started #beeping other people off the internet

    - You mark every calendar in sight with the next SNC show you are attending AND have a list of fellow Chasers going.

    Anyone else care to add?

KCs #61: You force yourself to stay away from social media because you're so jealous of everyone who's getting to see SNC (and you aren't)!

...a few weeks past your awesome SNC weekend, one of your co-workers says to you,"We need to get you a poster of them for your corner (because you have a corner all to yourself)." Having already thought of this and decided not to even ask because of where you work, you say,"Um, no". Your other co-worker who is participating in the conversations says,"Why? Because you won't get any work done?" You say, "Well, that too, but think of where we work, guys. We work in a drug and alcohol counseling clinic. I don't think a poser with 'Straight No Chaser' on it, even if it is a male a cappella group, is beneficial to our client's recovery process, because, trust me, I thought about it!". The one co-worker looks at the other one (who suggested it) and says,"Yeah, Ailie! What were you thinking! We can't have that here, and you're our D&A intake person! Psshh. Laura's not even a therapist and she's looking out for our client's well being!" as she's laughing. Neither one of them thought about it. It was amusing, to say the least. If I had a corner of the office, or my own office, that the clients couldn't see, trust me, one would be there. :)

...when you can't listen to the (instrumental) theme for Forrest Gump without "hearing" Seggie sing "...they had a child, the kid from the Sixth Sense..." or the Jurassic Park theme without "hearing" "...there are dinosaurs in Jurassic Park...the lights went out...oh no they just escaped....run for your lives!" because you've watched/listened to the Movie Medley so much!
Seriously...the Forrest Gump one's the worst because I really really liked that song *before* SNC came out with the Movie Medley! And so whenever it pops up on my iPod or Spotify or whatever I can't NOT hear the "lyrics" now! LoL! I <3 them and their creativity! :)

(this is semi-embarrassing...) When a discussion comes up about something that happened to someone and it is a similar experience to something that one of the guys tweeted or facebooked and you say, "Oh, yeah that happened to a friend of mine recently..." #smh
OR when something someone says reminds you of a quote from one of the guys (whether it be from the podcast or a webisode or a tweet) and you just blurt it out... Then that someone will ask you, "What movie is that from??" then you have to explain to them the joke and they don't get it... Only Chasers get it... :D

@Nesa, i totally agree with you! that's what i'm doing now :)

When you refuse to get any work done until you catch up on the guys tweets in the morning :)

Remember the date when you bought tickets to your first SNC concert

When you come to the realization that you truly are obsessed with Straight No Chaser... But I'm ok with that... :D

You are just so beside yourself that you are here in anticipation of tomorrow's concert in Gainesville, FL Go Chaserville Gators in the Swamp. Ruby will be there too and it's her 80th birthday.

when you can't go a day without listening to at least one snc song
when you hear jason mraz sing "i'm yours" and say to yourself "wow, it's so much better when mike sings it"
when you can't sign out of facebook before checking the snc page
when checking sncmusic.com is the last thing you do on the computer before going to bed

...when some guy (one of my coworkers) says that a cappella is stupid and your first reaction is to get deffensive, but the thought pops into your mind, "What would the guys do??" :D

When your first thought upon waking up is, "hmmm. I wonder what the boys and my fellow Chasers have been up to last night..." :D

- When you have no internet for two days and it drives you up the wall because you can't keep up with Chasers or the guys!

- When you hear the traditional 12 Days of Christmas and think "They're not singing it right!"

- When you decide to make SNC's version of the 12 Days of Christmas your original :)

When you're looking at train tickets for August and see if SNC is going to be anywhere near the stops you have to make and are disappointed when you realize they'll be in your area when you're away... :(

Kristin - to add to yours, when you know the guys are in danger of severe weather, or traveling to the forecasted "danger zone" of the day and you tweet them warnings and tell them to be safe. I did that when they gathered in Nashville a month and a half ago.

KC's #60: When you see warnings for potentially severe weather around the country and immediately go to the tour page to see where the guys are performing tonight.

So true Kristin! I had front row center seats in Kelowna and didn't get many pics for 2 reasons...couldn't get them all in one frame, and was too self conscious to snap away!

KristinC's picture

KC's #59: When you think sitting on the front row for an SNC concert is too close because you can't get all 10 of them in the frame of your video camera. Or because it's painfully obvious how much you're gawking.

LindaMahoney's picture

This list is awesome! I do many of the things on this list, and some I wish I could do. This one just struck me as too funny though, because when I had to pick a seat out for the concert I am going to, I did not want to sit too close, because I did not want to get pictures of their noses, I wanted to be able to get the whole body in the picture! So I chose a seat a little ways back! I am sure it will be close to a perfect seat. It is center stage on an aisle seat about 8 rows back. I will actually be taking two cameras, and as I am not a screamer, I will do my share of respectable gawking, but that far back, I am sure the only one who will be aware of it, is the poor person that is stuck sitting next to me, lol! My show is not until December in Fort Wayne, and yes, it will be my first show. I am hoping for a nice day!

-the redhead-'s picture

When you surprise one of your good friends (who happens to be a choir member) with a trip to the concert +and+ the PBS Meet & Greet as a present because you had extra tickets... She's now my future SNC companion in crime ;)

When something is going on or something someone says or sings reminds you of a certain 10-man a cappella group... :D

@yarp24 Me too!! That would be so awesome!!

yarp24's picture

I hope they post pictures of that, Maria! I saw your tweets about it. Wonderful idea! :)

Maria Fulton's picture

When you start discussing with other Chasers what you would do if you were payed to be a Chaser..... When you plan to send a basket of fruit shaped like flowers to a ten-man a cappella group on their anniversary/one of their birthdays.... :)

yarp24's picture

Love that, Kristin! I saw your tweet about it earlier. :)

KC's #58: When you are in a public place playing with your phone and a complete stranger sees an SNC member as your wallpaper and asks if it's your husband. :-O

yarp24's picture

I don't know where else to post this so I'll post it here. When you have a conversation with someone who has seen the group twice (the first time you both saw them together because you bought the ticket from them) and she says to you,"Eh, they're good, but none of them are really that attractive. Two are going bald!" I wanted to jump out of the vehicle I was riding in with her last night when she said that, just to avoid going all Chaser on her! I took a deep breath and reminded her that most of them were my age (I'm 33, she's 26 or 27) and that was part of the appeal as well. She knows nothing of their personalities or anything, if she did, I think she'd change her mind. This after her saying,"So, you're seeing them twice in April, at least 4 shows on the cruise, and now you're seeing them in August?? Don't you get tired of seeing them?" Um, NO! :)

Nesa's picture

When your parents tell you that you can't go on the cruise (because you're only 14), but you keep on saving and hoping that they'll change their mind and refuse to lose hope! :)
