Why do we all #blamecarla?: I'll attempt to answer a few questions on this subject.
When did it start?: About a year ago
Why did it start?: I don't remember :-/ Carla doesn't remember. However, we both remember that it was something generic and probably mindless that I blamed her for (sounds about right for me).
How did it continue?: I encouraged my fellow #SNCTwitterbugs to #blamecarla for lots of things. Very quickly, all of the 'bugs were #blamecarla'ing all the time.
In August, we went to Atlantic City and I made a black t-shirt with #BLAMECARLA on the front (she is the tshirt queen so someone needed to tshirt the queen!) Carla wore the shirt on the final day of AC 2010 where multiple people saw it including SNC during a Q&A.
After the final show, Carla and I were in the meet and greet line. We said hi to Jerome and Mike and had just moved to talk to Seggie and Dave. Well, there was a slight *mishap*; somehow, the glass in front of Seggie spontaneously combusted and shattered! lol Glass and liquid quickly soaked the table. Seggie, Dave, and Charlie were awesome, quickly clearing the glass, moving the table cloth, and reassuring us that it was ok (yet still giving us a hard time for it).
As you can imagine, there was quite a ruckus as this was happening! Yet, clear as day, several SNC members pointed and yelled #BLAMECARLA!!!! At that point, #blamecarla was truly a solidified phrase. And, the blaming has not stopped! (And, it's WONDERFUL!! :)
Are there rules?: Absolutely not! You can #blamecarla for good things and bad things. You can blame her for just about anything and everything! Oh, and you don't need to have proof! You just say #blamecarla! Ex: My fence fell down multiple times a couple of weeks ago, and out of frustration, I sent out a tweet stating that my fence was once again down on the ground and I was going to #blamecarla!
Does Carla mind being blamed all of the time?: Ummm, no. And, if she does... #blamecarla! lol In all seriousness, I told her when I first started that I'd stop at any time, and she always said it made her laugh. Now that the presence of #blamecarla has grown, she loves it even more. I need to note that if she didn’t like #blamecarla, she’s stuck with it! It’s grown beyond anything I ever imagined when I decided that she should be blamed. Haha!
Let the blames begin!!! #blamecarla!

Thanks, Susan. Had seen the second you posted, but not the first. Fun being a little different that the standard interview, being able to see everything at the side. It ended a bit abruptly, though. #blamecarla
