My wife and I bought 3 tickets in August from WTTW to take my 90 year old mother to this performance. She wears hearing aids and is partially blind. My mother and I both loved the concert. My wife couldn't attend (and I really didn't want to go either because of difficult/serious news that I had received on Friday), but I bet she would have loved it too!

The 3 standing ovations were well deserved, the crowd was left wanting (more!)

The final song, O HOLY NIGHT, had a few tears on my face, at first. The sounds were so perfect, they gave glory to God...And then it happened! I bet every Christian in the audience knows exactly what I am talking about! At first I thought it was the sound system. But it was throughout the song. I listened to the version being sold on this website, and the flaw is there....it must be on purpose? Everything else tonite was perfect!

[Before I continue, there was a song earlier, sung by 9 white guys and 1 African-American, that seemed a little insensitive to the Hispanic community, everywhere...the piece was flawlessly performed, and all (white's) laughed at the Mississippi, Italian on one side/ Hispanic on the other joke. The fact is the singer may not be either Hispanic or Italian, but he looks both! Secondly, in the Christmas medley, Kwanza and Haunicka appearred (I'm so sorry, it's late and these are not my traditions, and I know there are mis-spellings!) and were made fun of, but the line might not have been crossed, because of the ones speaking/singing were believeably followers of these traditions. Lastly, why not honor all traditions, instead of mockery?...unless the group itself is incapable? The audience, in my opinion, was given too much Santa and NO baby Jesus...]

In the final song/hymn, O HOLY NIGHT, the lead singer made some unexplained comical head movements and awkward facial expressions? What was that?? But this was merely a mild inappropriate distraction, for sucha beautiful hymn. On the way home, the offensive, serious flaw, was even heard by my mother! ...half deaf as she is!! We attempted to remember the website, and that's why I'm here.

My password is the flaw...and if you ask the manager to have me change it so he can tell you what the flaw is...I'd be happy to! Christian's (English speaking and singing) will feel insulted and offended! I'll be watching WTTW on August 8.... I highly suggest you fix the flaw.... or don't aire the version.

In the morning I could find out from my oncologist, whether my agressive cancer has returned (distressing news from Friday), the lump was thought to be only a hematoma instead of an aggressive tumor. This could be my last Christmas, in this life. Tonite's performance took me away from my earthly troubles. I know my savior and my God is not bothered by the flaw.

@o holy night: First, let me say that I will be praying for you and hope your news was good today. I can't imagine going through what you must be going through. An aggressive cancer that may be trying to return. God Bless and keep you.

Straight No Chaser doesn't have to sing about baby Jesus. The reason, is that they live and exude Him in everything they do. Many of us are drawn to the light of the Lord that shines through their gifts, talents, and excellence. The greatest of these is love. ( Cor:13) The love they show each other and their fans says it all. Also, laughter doeth the heart good, like a medicine.(Prov., I believe) Again, baby Jesus is in everything they do, in my experience. Were you able to stay for the Meet and Greet after the show?

I hope you will keep us posted on how you are doing. I am so glad that you were able to have a brief break from you earthly troubles from their singing. That is beautiful. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Again, God bless you and yours.

Instead of asking us to go through the motions of speaking with the manager, why don't you just tell us what the "flaw" you think you heard is. I think you're just trying to bug the Chasers here. We've all listened to O,Holy Night before, and never heard anything. In fact, I played it 5 times in a row earlier, trying to find this "flaw". I found nothing but a beautiful hymn, sung by 10 fantastic men, and it is sheer perfection!

Yes, I agree with TraciP. There's nothing offensive to their performance nor to their pointing out people tend to forget there's more to celebrate in December other just the Christian holiday. Also, all the guys are extremely passionate in performing and singing and it shows in how the music moves them.

I have to say, as far as "comical head movements and facial expressions", that is Jerome. He is very passionate about his music and singing. He certainly wasn't trying to offend anyone by getting into what he was singing. And they aren't making fun of Kwanzaa or Hanukkah, they're making a point that not everyone celebrates Christmas, and wishing them a Happy Holiday, too.
I have listened to "O, Holy Night" so many times I've lost count, as it's my favorite carol by them. I have never heard anything offensive, nor have I heard a flaw. You should be more specific about it.
I will pray that you get good news from your doctors today, sir, and that you have a very Merry Christmas...

I hope you receive good news from your oncologist and I will say a prayer for you. As to your comments, I am a Catholic, and personally have no problem with their handling of Christmas music. The group is singing to entertain the whole audience, not just portions of it and I find their use of humor refreshing. I can go to my Church and hear the hymns in their original version, and I truly don't think SNC is trying to offend anyone, but are just aiming to make sure their fans have a good time.
