Congrats, Dave White!!

Hi everyone-

Sorry I haven't been a big/contributing COTM lately - work has been crazy busy....some long hours and then I get home and do things that need attended to. Oh - and inside info: new FanChat interview with someone I'm sure you may or may not expect - done - and will be published next episode - Shaina, when will that be?????.

But I do try to take a few minutes to try to read everything. Just love all of the contributions from everyone - even some NEW faces and names here (applaud). Was really surprised that this thread was on the top page and surprised with the nice words from Mary. :o)

S - The "normal" thing - I'm okay with that - actually used to it. Laura (my wife) will tell you that. (lol)

Mary - I'm so glad you enjoyed the interview w/ Antoinette, she was such a joy to talk to and I just loved her recollection of the artists in her past. Another thank you to both Antoinette, and her daughter Terry for helping with the coordination.

Thanks for your observation in regards to my "enthusiasm" of SNC. I can only tell you that it stems from the amount of respect and professionalism that I've received........for that matter that all of us have received from the guys. Its amazing what you get from a hand shake or hug (I've not hugged any of the guys). Its when they look you in the eyes and talk *to* you and not just say words. When they come out and say that they "don't take one fan for granted" and appreciate the fact that their success is because of the fans.....I guess you could say that they've got my attention and respect...........and enthusiasm.

Dave, when are we going to meet????? You are the leading man of the Chaserdom, and we have to meet sometime!! I loved the interview with Antoinette. I have to say I enjoyed that SNCFanChat as much as any I have listened to. I had a huge grin on my face the whole time!!!

Your enthusiasm has encouraged many of us to be enthusiastic, because you are a regular guy, not one of us silly women, and you love SNC as much as we do. It makes us feel,... uhm, well,... a little more "normal" about being such intense and loyal fans of SNC. I have never been a fan of any band or group before, and thought maybe I was losing it when SNC charmed me as they have. But you are so grounded that it makes me feel like I haven't gone off the deep end about loving Straight No Chaser.

Also, you are so classy and kind in everything you say and do that you have endeared ALL of us to you, even those of us who only know you from afar. I will join the rest in saying I cannot wait to meet you sometime!

Had the EXTREME pleasure of meeting Dave and his beautiful wife Laura recently during my trip to Gettysburg! In fact, they were kind enough to allow me to carpool with them! It was fabulous being able to take a break from driving & just relax in the back seat!

Dave is funny & filled with great stories! He knows how to have a good time with the silliness we churn out and is great with the comebacks! He also possesses wise words for new chasers. Get to know him, everyone! You won't be sorry!

Thank you so much Dave, for supporting our favorite a cappella singers and being there for fellow chasers! Thank you for being such a good sport! You fit right in with the guys because while you seem to take their success seriously, you don't take yourself seriously! :) ?

Well - hi everyone!!!! Sorry I've been a little lackadaisy in posting on this page. Between the holiday weekend (hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July) - and still being in awe in my selection of COTM.

Let me start off by saying thank you to my dear friend S for starting this discussion page on my behalf and then to new friend Kary - sorry I broke the gender barrier. I guess this means the door is now wide open for just about anybody - I mean - for more guys to become COTM :o) Pretty cool! OH --and Angie for the heads up - story time:

So I'm @ work on Friday and I sneak on FB really quick and I see this note to me from Angie saying "congratulations on your new title".

so I reply:
Dave White - what did I do this time and where's the picture?? I can only imagine......lol

Angie Woollard - Have you not been checking around...? I thought you'd know by now...?

Dave White - I just came on here real quick - still at work. guess I'll see what shenanigans there is when I get home - lol

This COTM was the farthist thing from my mind, so I had no clue until I got home. And when I finally found out - well - just awe struck.

To all of my friends - ones that I've met, and ones that I've yet to meet, thank you so much for all of your kind words, although I really don't think I'm quite that deserving of this title compared to all my predecessors (Kary, S, Kim, Donna, Angie & Dottie) - thanks a lot....... for raising the bar so high for this goof! To the up and coming COTM's - you all have it way easy now - lol But you know what - thats the thing with us Chasers. We're all different in our own way and thats what make us unique.

Seriously - again, thank you alI - I am really touched by all of your words - I'll try not to let you down. Also, thank you WebCrew for thinking I'm deserving enough for the title - I'll try not to let you down either :o)
