I really enjoy perusing the Love Threads for the guys on here. But I find myself feeling a bit nostalgic, and I can't help but think of a few other guys who are just as deserving of some Chaser love..... three of the original, unforgettable members of Straight No Chaser - Dan Ponce, Michael Itkoff, and Steve Morgan.
This could be due, in part, to a recent post about the founder.... maybe even have something to do with a previous and the latest awesome FanChat..... but this is mostly "just because"
Stories of personal Chaser encounters, pictures, videos, or links are most welcome, even expected, as some of us were late to the show so to speak....
Would love to "hear" what anyone has to share!

For some reason I woke up this morning thinking Steve should have had a baby by now... Emily actually and she did on March 28th! Congratulations to Steve and Emily on the birth of their son, William Thomas Morgan!!!

I woke up to 66 new tweets/texts on my phone, all about "free Ponce." At first I thought he was doing one of those charity drives where the person is locked up and has to raise money for the charity in order to get bailed out. It wasn't until I saw the link that I found out what really happened. Made me so angry!

@EileenR thanks for thinking of the twitter and facebookless!! i had seen this mentioned on snc's home page twitter feeds (sorry i am up-to-par with twitter or facebook terms) and wasn't exactly sure what happened so thanks for the update.
It was great to see all the Chaser Love that was sent Dan's way in the wake of his being handcuffed and detained by Chicago Police last night. If you're not on FB or Twitter, here's the video Dan posted this morning, along with this FB status post: "Good morning friends. What a night. Just to clarify I am not writing from prison, but I commend my Straight No Chaser brothers for launching the #freePonce campaign last night on Twitter - very clever guys, haven't laughed that hard in a while. I've had my Twenty Nights CD over a year now, and I've put it back into heavy rotation again recently (although it's never completely out of rotation). Seriously one of my all-time favorites. If you don't own this album, what on earth are you waiting for???

I also came along post-Mike I-and-Steve. I got to see Dan a couple times before he retired from performing with the group. I don't feel as if I got to really know him. It's an odd thing, isn't it, to miss someone you've never met.
After hearing Dan and Mike's Twenty Nights CD, I started a Facebook page for the album (Twenty Nights Music). I want to revitalize it in the new year.
This is wonderful to have so many photos and videos here in one place for reference! And I look forward to joining in on the discussions here.

I've been listening to Steve, Mike, and Dan sing their Christmas songs.... so love their voices. I have photo albums for all the guys in SNC minus these three. I hope they come on the cruise. Would love to have current videos and photos of them!

Wonderful thread! I, too, found out about SNC after Mike I and Steve M left (Dan was still in the group). These three men are incredible performers and very humble people. I'm friends with Dan on Facebook but haven't gotten up the nerve to send a request to Mike I or Steve yet! @Eileen: Worlds Apart is one of my favorites! I've seen Any Dream Will Do before but not for a while, so thanks for posting that!
@KristinC- I accidentally bumped into Dan but I was in so much of a shock that my mind went blank and I couldn't do the rational thing, ask for a photo and autograph. I agree with you next time for sure to make a complete fool out of ourselves. LOL.

So I was THRILLED to meet THE Dan Ponce before the 8pm show in Chicago on 12/3. It was only for 2 seconds and I got a quick handshake, but I. Was. Thrilled. Hopefully I'll get another opportunity in the future to talk to him a bit more, make a complete idiot of myself and get my ratty Twenty Nights CD insert signed (ratty because I haul it with me to concerts all the time).
Still have meeting Steve and Mike I. to check off on my SNC Bucket List, but I'm working on it!

Some people have climbing Mount Everest on their bucket lists; my bucket list includes the chance to meet these three guys, no lie. I'm hoping one or more of them may show up for SNC's show in Chicago in December. If so, maybe I'll be lucky enough to bump into them! :)
