I can NOT buy any more tickets! Good grief! I must be nuts. Currently I am planning to go to six (or seven?) fall shows. That's just insane. Is anyone crazier then I am?

So...on the agenda this summer...several yard sales and jewelry shows to fund my addiction, extra hours at work, and probably no more then one AC show so that I can save up! Good grief.

Valid points, Lauren!
Vixter & Kayzie, I'm excited for you!!

kayzie's picture

Update: Along with Seattle & Portland, I will be attending the Louisville KY concert. Oh Yes!!!!!

Vixter's picture

Anyone going to the Rosemont show want to possibly meet up before the show? So exciting! I got my tickets today!

Dottie, it's not selfish. As far as the addiction, well, there are worse things and music groups to be addicted to. So at least it's a healthy addiction and cheaper than some illegal ones. Why should you be punished because some can't go to a location/can't afford the show? It would be another thing if you always got front row center (or close to that) for each show and were bragging about that and how many times you had met them. I'm just thankful they keep their tickets as affordable as they do! Look at how much Paul McCartney is charging for ONE ticket. I look at their shows and the music as cheap therapy. Much cheaper than a therapist!!

As far as the Chaser love foundation, I think it would be a good idea to do, but I'd still want SNC's permission before we did it.

@ Penny Brannon Wanted to comment on your post:

"Any one going to the Columbus November 3 show who would want to meet up? By golly, if I can swing it, I want to go to the Covelli Center show November 4. It would me an early day to do the 4 hour trip. Sigh"

Especially the 4 hour trip form Columbus on Nov 3 to Covelli Center on Nov 4. It can be done. How do I know, 'cause Mom and I have done it a few times. May 21, 22, 23 of last year - Friday (21st) flew into San Jose, CA arriving at 11 am, picked up a rental car, drove approx 2 1/2 hrs, to Fresno, check in to our hotel, showered and changed, had dinner when to the show that evening. Saturday (22nd) 2 1/2 hrs drive back to San Jose, check in, lunch, shower and changed for another show that evening. Sunday (23rd) up early, 6 - 7 hrs drive to San Diego (thru LA traffic), check in, shower and change, dinner with Sarah Twilley and then a show. Early flight the following morning home. That was the 1st time. Mom and I have done something like that at least 2 other times (Texas shows and Albuquerque and Las Vegas).

So I say DO IT!! Go to both shows and enjoy!! And I can I just say . . . I will be EXTREMELY jealous!!! LOL :D

But you are going now Eileen, right?

My husband has season tix to the Ravens. So he is very understanding of my SNC addiction- I mean dedication. When I mentioned the Platinum Dinner Package that's going to be available at the Baltimore show this November, he said,"And how many of your Chaser friends are going with you for that?" I hadn't even decided to go for it for sure at that point- LOL!

Terry_4's picture

Well said Dottie!

DottieK's picture

I wish I wasn't so selfish. :( I should give some of my tickets to people who can't normally go. *ponders this* I need to revisit that Chaser Love Fund idea I posted awhile back. Hmm.

Well, anyway, to those of us going to multiple shows....it's really not that odd. Denise pointed out to me yesterday that it's not unlike season tickets to your favorite team. That cost quite a bit. And you see the "same game" over and over. Hahaha! :)

What other ways can we justify our addiction? Who's hubby has season tickets? Or goes hunting for weeks at a time? I have a friend who's hubby spends all summer traveling around going to different fishing events! Boating? Shopping? I have girl friends who spend tons of money on every scrapbooking/crafting item ever heard of. Some people pour time & money into their lawns/landscapes. Lots of people have hobbies, and chasers are no exception! When you look at it that way, we are really not so strange. People invest time & money into things that they love that make them happy. :)

@Terry - Much appreciated. Thank you!

Terry_4's picture

I've got fingers crossed and praying hands for all you guys - hope you can go!

GML's picture

It was one, but had to cancel AC. :-( WAAAAAA! Now that the platinum dinner is up, I'm gonna see if we can swing that! I'm excited and hopeful! *fingers crossed* better yet: *praying hands*!

Just 1 and I am bummed. They just added the Youngstown one with a platinum dinner. So much is going on and I really can't afford to travel up to Youngstown to see the show. We wouldn't have a problem with accomodations because my MIL lives up that way. I just wanted to go. Now I can't meet Dave White and his wife or any other Chasers in that area. Waaaaa. I'm going to check out the prices anyway....:::stampingfeetindefiance:::

Katie_2's picture

Just 1, unless I can manage to convince some friends to drive 6.5+ hours to AC with me. But if not either Portland ME or Manchester NH. Wish I could go to more, but being a college student really does not help the bank...

KristinC's picture

I am planning on nine, with tickets purchased for eight (other show isn't on sale yet). I think someone needs to stage an intervention.

DottieK's picture

Somehow six or seven has turned into seven or eight....How did this happen?????

Lauren_8's picture

Well, because the tickets were so cheap, I'm treating myself to the earlier Chicago show.

For anyone going to either show, would you want to meet up for lunch or dinner?

AngieTheCanuck's picture

Dottie...as soon as another $250 or so falls into my lap, the flight will be booked!

Amanda_5's picture

Just one for me. The October 20th, Denver, CO. performance. It's my "day after the last day of finals" treat to myself and is going to be my first time seeing the guys live. Can't wait for October to get here!

DottieK's picture

Diana, if you plan to come to Grand Rapids, be sure to let me know! I will be there too!
Marianne & Minga, I can't wait for you to see them live!
Angie, you'd *better* get that flight booked! *stern look* and Lauren....that's something I'm going to look into. :)

Diana L.'s picture

Sadly - just one, and that's in early August at Chatauqua...incredibly excited, too. It will be the first show my beloved has joined me! Can't wait for him to be caught up in the awesomeness...

Looking at a Grand Rapids road trip. We can combine some awesome book shopping, SNC and great eats all at the same time. Hoping to see another Canadian tour announced (please, please, please?)

AngieTheCanuck's picture

How exciting, Minga! If you love them already, you'll love them 100 times more once you see them live!

I'm holding off commenting on this subject until I get my flight booked...could be an exciting fall for me!

Melanie9891's picture

Two: Liverpool and London! It'll be the first time for me to see them live and I'm pretty excited! I decided to "chase" after them to England as they won't come to Germany (at least for now...) :)

Marianne_2's picture

Only one...postponing moving up North so that I don't miss this concert. HAHAHA. Well worth the wait I'm hoping. Youtube videos just aren't enough. I need to see them live. It's #4 on my bucket list.

Lauren_8's picture

None. :( I need money. It would be nice if I could afford tickets and if they did student discounts for tickets. Now if someone wants to contribute to the Lauren is poor and can't afford tickets foundation.....I'd be at the Chicago show in a heartbeat but...

manderrrr's picture

So far I only have tickets to two shows (Boston, MA and Providence, RI) in the fall but there's a chance for one more (Possible in CT or NH) ...money is tight because I'm seeing them 4 times this summer. When it's a bit closer to the time of the concerts, we'll see how things play out (they don't hit my area until November.)
