Won't Be Alone Tonight- Dakota Moon, from "Dakota Moon Album"
Another Day Goes By- Dakota Moon, from "Dakota Moon Album"

Second Chance 38 Special
Simple Man Lobo
Every Song Is You Timothy B. Schmit, from "Feed The Fire"

How about an Irish themed
How about an Irish themed album featuring the likes of Danny Boy, Clancy and The Rocky Road to Dublin.
Boy, do I feel out of place
Boy, do I feel out of place here. For the most part, if it happened past the 80's, I usually have not heard of it. With a couple of exceptions off of Randy's favorite list, my favorite music is mostly 30's-80's, with some big bands, Johnny Mathis, and some classic country artists, no later than roughly 98, other than Garth Brooks, of course. But I agree, I would love to hear them sing "Hooked on a Feeling", "Mr. Bass Man", might be good in a mash-up; I would think Randy and Charlie would have fun with that one.. I know everyone seems to do "Always on my mind" , but I would love to hear it done with no music..that would sound great by SNC..ok, I put my two cents in..thank you.
Stevie Wonder "I Believe"
Stevie Wonder "I Believe"
Here's some more great OLDIES
Here's some more great OLDIES suggestions:
"Moondance" - Van Morrison
"The Flame" - Cheap Trick
"Hooked On A Feeling" - B.J. Thomas OR Blue Suede
"If You Don't Know Me By Now" - Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes (also Simply Red)
"See You In September" - The Happenings
Also had suggested these two as a possible mash-up:
"Let's Stay Together" - Al Green
"Every Breath You Take" - The Police
Hallelujah (the Leonard Cohen
Hallelujah (the Leonard Cohen version)
Okay, going 90s...Summer
Okay, going 90s...Summer Girls by LFO. I think Jerome would have a blast with this. They could make up their own sort of rap lyrics and make fun of the song. It would be hilarious!
You've Got a Friend -- James
You've Got a Friend -- James Taylor
Hey Cindy! I'm not sure I've
Hey Cindy! I'm not sure I've heard Chi Coltrane's stuff, but could Thunder & Lightening be done by Jerome & Mike? Would be fitting, wouldn't it?
CINDY, make that a rocking
CINDY, make that a rocking chair for two because I'm always suggesting songs from the 60's/70's/80's on this thread! I only recently added a few songs from the last decade or so to mix it up but I'm an oldies girl when it comes to music. No one was more thrilled then me to hear the guys bringing the great Bill Withers' "Use Me" to young & old(er) a cappella fans everywhere!
And I LOVE the Carpenters...never thought of SNC doing their great songs but I bet Walt or Ryan could do some awesome arrangements & put a new spin on those classics. Brilliant idea, Cindy! Oh, by the way my bathroom is pink if you want to crochet me one of those covers for the spare roll of TP. ;)
Okayyyy One more Chi Coltrane
Okayyyy One more Chi Coltrane suggestion "Different Ways"
whewwww I feel the generation
whewwww I feel the generation gap here, but it is all good. I'm gonna throw out some suggestions from the 70's.
Thunder and Lightening by Chi Coltrane
On my Own by Chi Coltrane
I'm Ready to Love Again... also by Chi Coltrane
I think they could also do a great medly of "Carpenter's"
And finally I am gonna real old school and old fashioned on ya all: I think they could do a really powerful old time gospel medly.
Okay I heading back to my rocking chair and crocheting now. : )
@Fab4tune, I DEFINITELY agree
@Fab4tune, I DEFINITELY agree with "If You Could Only See" by Tonic.
I was thinking of 'Drops of
I was thinking of 'Drops of Jupiter' a few days ago! That would be awesome!
"Drive" - Incubus
"Drive" - Incubus
"If You Could Only See" - Tonic
"Drops Of Jupiter" - Train
"Iris" - Goo Goo Dolls
@Nesa They recorded "America
@Nesa They recorded "America the Beautiful" and also "Alexander's Ragtime Band" for the 2010 Macy's (?) 4th of July Parade. They also sang it live on GMA or Today Show, I forget. It's still on my DVR though. =) If I am remembering correctly, "Alexander's Ragtime Band" was a free download on the parade website.
"Stuck In The Middle With You
"Stuck In The Middle With You" by The Steelers Wheel
"Tempted" - Squeeze
"Tempted" - Squeeze
"Bad Time" - Grand Funk Railroad
"Everytime I Think of You" - The Babys
Also since @Vixter suggested Hall & Oates, how about including them in a "Philadelphia" medley since SNC is so popular there and will be playing Eastern PA five more times this year? So many great groups from Philly and so many great songs written by Gamble & Huff (the original TSOP: The Sound Of Philadelphia) on Philadelphia International Records.
I'm not sure an all-ages
I'm not sure an all-ages audience is the place for a "Sexy" medley.
Disney would be fun! I'm also in with love ballads from the seventies....Lionel Richie? Elton John? James Taylor? Carole King? Carly Simon? Oooh...bet they could do a great/humorous "You're So Vain."
disney medley for sure. you
disney medley for sure. you're the inspiration by chicago, maybe a good country song or two, that would be interesting!!
also, could you please start doing "rhythm of love/can't help falling in love" at your shows? i love that song and hit repeat a few times when i listen to it :)
Also, I just thought that if
Also, I just thought that if they wanted to do more 80's stuff, then how about some Hall & Oats?
How about "Gotta Be Somebody"
How about "Gotta Be Somebody" by Nickelback?
Mr. Big's "To Be With You."
Mr. Big's "To Be With You." I heard it in a store today and could not resist singing along. Mike could totally nail that solo. And I must say I'm so excited. I suggested a month ago on this discussion they could do "Moves Like Jagger" and they are now doing it! I'm sure it wasn't from my recommendation, but I'm so happy. :)
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You by Led Zeppelin has been swirling around in my head today (probably because I've been listening to Overboard's mash up of Chicago's 25 or 6 to 4 and LZ's Babe I'm Gonna Leave You). Would be interesting to hear the guys' do either of those songs, actually. Another one that comes to mind (again, thanks to Overboard) is Gnarls Barkley's Crazy.
I'm not sure if they could do it or not, because it talks about getting high and drinking at a bar, but the song "We Are Young" by Fun is pretty awesome! But the version I can hear them singing is the Glee version. So many harmonies...
On way homs from mountains. would luv to hear what they could do wifh club vwrsion of oh What a Night
Hard Habit to Break or You're the Inspiration by Chicago
"Daniel" by Elton John (great counter-melodies)
A Disney medley!!! I got the idea from this one-- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0h3q838_f4 and if SNC did something like that they'd be AMAZiNGG.
@BLB Red - Oh yeah! You're right! lol No wonder I could clearly see the guys doing it :)
My dad and I would LOVE to hear them sing "Another Day In Paradise" by Phil Collins. Such a beautiful song!
A few of us Tweeted these a few weeks ago & not sure if it was posted here but KarenLovesPyrs, Dottie & I suggested a SEXY mash-up with:
"I'm Too Sexy" - Right Said Fred
"I'm Sexy and I Know It" - LMFAO
"Do You Think I'm Sexy" - Rod Stewart
What fun the guys would have with those songs and the audience would eat it up! LOL
