It aired on Dec 6th in the Philadelphia Area. Just got my DVD but.......It came cracked. Have to send it back. Has anyone else purchased and received it damaged?
It didn't play anywhere in southwest Florida - and there were concerts in both Tampa and Sarasota. Bummed out.

FYI: I called my local station here in Pittsburgh, PA and was given the following airing information for the Holiday PBS taping for their viewing area: (first week of Dec. only. I call weekly!)
Mon. 12/5- 2am
Tues. 12/6- 2:30pm
Weds. 12/7- 2am
Thurs. 12/8- 1:30pm
They have been pretty reliable in the past, so we'll see how it goes!
Is this going to be offered to be downloaded of Itunes like the last one, because AFN isn't going to show it at all?
This link has dates that various cities are supposedly airing the new one. BUT, I see a couple dates that are before 12/3. I would assume those are the old special. It's a nice alphabetized list by city. http://sncmusic.com/pbsspecial/

The Straight No Chaser: Songs Through the Decades special is set to air in Milwaukee twice: On channel 10 (10.1) Monday, December 5th at 9pm and on channel 36 (36.1) -- Time Warner cable this is 16-- Saturday, December 10th at 4:30pm.

If they are saying someone else is in higher demand, then DEMAND SNC! Email your PBS station & have your local friends do the same. I don't know about other areas, but I have heard that Maryland Public Television makes a TON of pledge $ whenever they broadcast the first SNC special.
I e-mailed Columbus PBS station and they said they might show it Dec 8th through Dec 12th. No final word on it though.
Kat, apparently the Seattle PBS Station is not airing it at all. They said Andrea Bocelli is in higher demand. Whatev. Hope that they show it in your area!!!

It is airing here in Boston on December 4th from 9:30-11:00 p.m. My DVR picked it up. I always have it searching to tape any Straight No Chaser!!
I emailed my local PBS station. They're showing it Dec. 7th and Dec. 11 here in North Carolina.
My PBS doesn't even show it on their schedule. Apparently Lawrence Welk is more important than Straight No Chaser.
Evidently, my PBS station is waiting until it's actually December to post air dates. They better have them on, or I'll have to move.
Apparently Detroit PBS is not airing it right away, just as it did with the last one.. Bummed beyond belief.
The dates and times vary depending on your local PBS station. It's airing here on December 5, but some have it on December 3, some later in December. Check your local PBS station's website for the schedule, and if it's not there, you can do what I did and email them - they got right back to me with the answer. Good luck!
