I just hoped to start a thread about NBC's four-night show/"competition" "The Sing-Off"...
I have mixed feelings about this, although my overall feeling is positive because after all, a cappella music will be in the limelight for at 4 nights in December! I am anxious for people all over the world to be talking about the 8 groups that were selected for the show. http://www.nbc.com/sing-off/
I'm sure that SNC was wanted on the show, as was my friend's big-time barbershop quartet OC Times. Just curious if SNC could comment on the show or casting of it...
Hopefully we all can enjoy this mainstream show still! :)
I am glad that the Sing-Off has started because it brings A Capella into a new light. However, I can't watch it because every song a group sings I always wonder how SNC would do it. I definitely would watch if SNC was a guest on the show, heck I would watch it even if all they did was stand there. Of course, I would be upset that they didn't sing but that's beside the point. I think it would be cool to show the other groups that there is a following for A Capella and that it can be done well.
Is there any possibility that you guys will perform on the Sing-Off as a guest? That would be so awesome.
I was thinking the same thing about a cappella exposure; I'm so glad it's getting much more mainstream!! So excited to see it... :)
Hey guys! We are all aware of the show and are actually glad its going to be on. Any exposure a cappella gets in the mainstream is great news!
As far as being a contestant, the winner of the show gets a record deal with a major label, which we've been inredibly lucky enough to already receive!
We look forward to watching it!
Haven't seen the promos, but if it's anything like most of the competition shows on TV, I have to agree with Dave.
Looks like a great show,,,,,will have to watch it as it seems like there is very little that seem watchable. Just a small note,,,,,I think I;m glad that SNC is not on the show. With all due respect to the performing groups on the show.....I just think that SNC is above that kind of media.
