Per suggestion by Seggie, here's a nice little thread to post things you want to buy that has "Straight No Chaser" written all over it!  :)

Just wondering if the clothing and such is fair trade or made in USA. I know it can cost a bit more initially but it's a small way to support the people who are making what we buy. Just something to consider at any rate.

Thanks Dave.

Shania, just to be annoying and tick people off. At least they weren't being trolls and being nasty to members, like some people do.

Shaina's picture

-sigh-
Why do people do that?

Bump to try and get rid of a spammer.

Shaina's picture

And not nearly as fun. It was fun, but not AS fun.

I agree, Shaina. The PBS special was too...abridged.

lecastleman's picture

It’s getting really close to the end of the year…I was really looking forward to that calendar ;)

Shaina's picture

And with more of their jokes! On the PBS special, I was constantly thinking, "Oh, but they did THIS at the concert, and it was so funny!"

S. Brandon's picture

Shaina, I'd like to see one like that, only LONGER!!!

Shaina's picture

Well, they DO have the PBS Special DVD, which is kinda like a "SNC Live" concert DVD...

t2roadrunner's picture

Just wondering... do you think there will ever be made available a "SNC Live" concert DVD... for those of us who can't get to one of their concert locations?

Shaina's picture

Yes, because Monopoly money wouldn't have bought me my shiny new iPod or my Christmas Cheers CD. :P

S. Brandon's picture

Better than Monopoly money. ;-)

Shaina's picture

Nooooooooo, Dave, I won a contest and my prize was Amazon money. :oP

I was wondering -- I really want a t-shirt like the ones they were selling at the venues, but when I went to buy one after the show, they didn't have my size... Is there any way that it could be added to the store? Or to the Upped.com store? (I only mention the upped.com store because I just realized that I can use my Amazon credit for that! Heehee...)

A Hoosier is anyone from Indiana, although I.U. has co-opted it for their school. There are a variety of explanations as to where it originated. Wikipedia has a number of theories, most of which are nonsense. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoosier I don't necessarily disagree that some people might equate "Hoosier" with "hick," although it's not true. I must vigorously disagree with the part that says it can be an equivalent with "white trash." NOT cool. Many suggestions go back to the idea of it being a countrified version of "who's there?" You'd think I'd know what their mascot looks like, but off the top of my head, I don't. Check the Indiana University site for that, Jelly.

(Personally, I'd be LESS inclined to buy something that had I.U. on it.)

what about some type of stuffed animal maskot?
btw what's a hoosier.... i googled it but all i found was furniture?

Since they are SNC can I get a Beer cozy, Bottle and Can. I would love t-shirts or sweatshirts and how about kids sizes too. I also love the calendar idea.

vectorbabe, I have been knitting a lot of scarves this winter (friends, family, plus I found a place on line that donates them to veterans). Every time I see the silly Christmas lights photo with Ryan in the middle, I kept thinking they needed one LONG red and white striped scarf to loop around each of them. Think they'd go for that? ;-) How long would it have to be to go around ten guys' necks and give them a *little* personal space? LOL

I just found this really nice program for those of you who complained that their venue did not provide one.

OMG; I'd LOVE to have a dreidel with SNC on it!!! I'd totally buy one; I'm a sucker for a silly keychain! I'd also love that Karaoke CD; it would make me very happy. :] And a scarf. And a tie. They would ALL make me very happy. ;) I love your suggestions, vectorbabe!

Speaking of SNC Santa hats... Where can I buy one? Are they only available to be won, or can I actually order one from the store? Just wondering...

vectorbabe's picture

I'd like to see SNC branded Dreidels on keychains. It's silly, but fun. And since most of the fans wouldn't know a dreidel from a bagel, it would be useful.

Also, I would like to be able to download the Christmas Can Can animation for my iPhone to play for friends. I'd even pay $1.

Also, an iPhone app. This could be a game of how fast can you arrange photos of the guys in their correct order as shown on one of the albums.

Also, a Karaoke CD of some of their songs. This would be the guys in the background with lyrics for the singer to take the lead. I know my friends and I would love to do the Christmas Can Can as well as some of the other songs.

Finally, someone needs to design a really fun winter wool scarf with the SNC logo running all around. Something subtle that you'd have to know what it is to see the logo. I'd buy that! (And perhaps a version on a silk tie as well as a silk scarf.)

o m g see? I just love it when things start to gel! Thanks for the great first laugh of the week! : )

Jelly's picture

i actually pictured SNC in Santa hats caroling to trees...lol :D

Lauren_8's picture

We've all seen the requests from various people for the sheet music. So why not sell it here? Plus, for all merchandise, (until they start up their own charity, if they want to), they could have a certain amount go to the guys favorite charities.

LadyfromNJ's picture

We can have the group sing to them. I hear houseplants like that! Ok, now that's covered . . . : )

S. Brandon's picture

LFNJ, those had better be fast-growing trees.

Re: PBS dvd, it's been my experience that if you wait long enough, they are released through the artists website or amazon or barnes and noble. Yes, it means waiting longer, but it's worth waiting. It also means it's a heck of a lot cheaper too!!

LadyfromNJ's picture

Wanna go into the poster business? Check out the pic on my profile, I made that one up this week so I could do the graphics setup. (Ut oh, am I allowed to do screenshots from SNC videos?) We'd have to start a tree farm, too (we're going to need lots of paper if this keeps up!)

S. Brandon's picture

Free posters?! Dang! :-(
