There are t-shirts, hoodies, and a few other SNC things for sale on this website. I've thought of a few other things that might be neat to buy related to SNC. I'm sure others can add to this list with their own suggestions. If there are enough requests for certain items, maybe the Webcrew or management (or whoever makes merchandise decisions) would consider them.
key chains
travel mugs
mouse pads
playing cards
posters
coasters to put under drinks
memo pads
post-it notes

S. Brandon, Yeah, I think they were blue. I saw one in a fan photo somewhere. I have the blue snowflake shirt from the fall/winter 2010 tour. I ended up getting a 2XL and it must run small since I normally take an XL. I couldn't get anything on 11/20 since the Hershey Theatre merch table was cash only. I hope there will be some new stuff in Reaading on 04/27! :)
yarp24, I don't know what ever happened to those shirts....you're talking about the royal blue ones, right, that they let US help design? They have never been available at a concert I had attended (not nearly as many as some), and I have never seen the size I needed (XL, counting on all cotton to shrink a bit). I do wish they would the tees on a bit heavier material. For that matter, at the "Christmas" (Nov. 30) concert my husband and I attended, I got an XL there and it doesn't look any too big. :--\
I love the idea posted early on in the thread about the calendar where the guys have their own month to show off a hobby and then 2 group shots. I also liked the old Chaser shirts too, and I have a twist on that (pardon the intentional pun, or not, your choice), on the front have the Chaser definition with the treble and bass clefs, and on the back have Straight No Chaser with the guys names (or nicknames) listed in the middle in two columns, and then below that have the question,"Who are you Chasing?" in big bold letters. If it's been done before, my apologies for suggesting it again. :)
Bumping up Lynette's thread from last year for Chris W. to see in case he never heard these earlier suggestions. :)
Thanks for the kind words Kathleen (Tic Tac Lady). I am surprised no one thought to start a discussion like this earlier. I'm glad you agree with my mouse pad idea, I thought maybe mouse pads were too "old school" now that most people have laptops and use the touch pads instead of "mice." I have never liked using a touch pad. I'm not skilled enough. I still use a mouse and a mouse pad. I would love an SNC mouse pad.
I also love your idea of musical cards, especially birthday and Christmas (or should I say "holiday" for Walter. ;-) ) cards. I have seen several videos of the guys singing "Happy Birthday" to people in the Meet & Greet lines. Those people were thrilled. Wouldn't it be great to have a card you could open up and hear the guys sing "Happy Birthday" to you on your own special day? I bet the cards would be huge sellers.
I also love the key chain and bumper sticker ideas. Two items the could be done inexpensively. I also just had a thought. How about coffee mugs?
@DaisyKary, I would stick a bumper sticker (or any sticker) on my panties any day of the week if it said SNC on it!
Kary...you make me laugh out loud!! I agree w/Dottie's comments that the sweatpant(s) might just appeal to a *select* audience, but I like the *bumper sticker* idea a lot too....WHEREVER you put it!! ^ ~ ^
LOVE the jewelry idea!! That could really be feasible and cost effective. The stickers too...but I can see some of these creative ladies (and gentlemen!) making these on their own...but there are some who would prefer to purchase them. Lots of ideas out there........
Oooo I like the jewelry idea.
What about VIP passes? Oh wait.......
Excuse me while I stick a bumper sticker to my panties......
How about some "bling", necklaces, bracelets with SNC on it. Nothing crazy, just something simple to show your support!
Glad to know I'm not the first one who has thought of a Seggie Snuggie! It diverts some of the blame! LOL!
Amanda...you were not the first one to mention a Seggie Snuggie! :-)
Kary...you could just take a bumper sticker and stick it to your underwear...lol
I like your sweatpants idea Kathleen, but I'll bet the demographics for it would be a little lean..one could always make their own! ;-)
Stickers might be fun. Especially at Christmas to seal the envelope flaps of all those greeting cards!
SNC DVD, please.
UMMM...MAYBE the *sweat pants* that would be really comfortable with SNC..um, again, prominently displayed (where you could see it??)..just a suggestion ^ ~ ^.
Lynnette..this is a great discussion!! I think your idea too of mouse pads is a great one! Those would be great conversation starters too if you had one at your workplace!
Please, no underwear! But bumper stickers, sure! One more affordable item. ;-)
Bumper stickers!
I'll be the one to say it ...... underwear with SNC on the butt.
LOVE LOVE LOVE all the ideas...I had mentioned before on a previous thread that my husband always buys me a calendar for Christmas (his little way of teasing my OCD for having a "schedule")....he actually thought to search for one on the website and was disappointed to not find one. A calendar would be awesome!!
Definitely would like one of the car stickers *SNC* would be proudly displayed on my car!
I'd buy one of everything! Would love to get a tote bag, they were sold out each time I checked before the holidays and gone by the time I got out of the show in Windsor in December.
Hopefully SNC merchandising will be reading this!
If Seggie (or any of the other guys) happens to read this thread, I apologize for what I have started with the Seggie Snuggie thing. It was seriously the first thing that came to mind when Kristin mentioned a SNC Snuggie! So my halo slips every now and then but it's all in good fun! LOL!
Kathleen, I *love* the idea of a musical greeting card!!!! That would be a FABULOUS way to share SNC music with family & friends, *especially* at Christmas time since they already have all those great Christmas songs recorded!! I hope they do that! It would be kickin! (Killing? Rocking? They would crush it? It would be Sic?) LOL Now I'm showing *my* age...
Great ideas and cool thread!! Love the calendar idea (actually, my niece did this for me for Christmas w/ my pic with the guys..I have it proudly displayed!!).
I wondered why they haven't had a "MUSIC CARD" for sale...maybe they do, and I just haven't seen it. I"m talking about one where you open it and there's a music chip that plays for about 15 seconds. Those seem to be all the rage right now. (showing my age with that comment! ha!)..BUT, I can just hear.."Wah, wah, wah"...and whatever other wonderful arrangement Walter can come up with for "Happy Birthday" or any other event/holiday! And having them with a pic on the front would just be icing on the cake!
Agreeing w/ everyone else there needs to be a low-cost item (magnet, key chain, etc) that someone could buy. We got to watch the 6pm show audience from Indy leaving, and there were several high school age kids, so something like this might be affordable for them as a souvenier, if they wanted a keepsake from the show, other than their ticket.
Personally, I would proudly wear a "Blame Carla" t-shirt..I just grin when I see her in pictures wearing that! (Seggie Snuggie...that's hilarious!!!..get his mom one first, she seems to be just a darling lady!)
They ran out of bags before I could buy one, so I am really bummed about that. Need more bags please. I also like the idea of some smaller items (like the key chains or car magnets) that one could buy without "breaking the bank". Then you can still carry "SNC" with you at all times! The scarf is an excellent idea as well.
I don't suppose they stay at any one hotel regularly? If they did, maybe they could get them as a sponsor for travel mugs, as long as they didn't "take over" the whole cup.
Barbara, I love the scarf or vest idea with the shiny fabric. So clever!!
Julie, Great idea with the car magnet. I would definitely buy one or more.
I love all these creative ideas from the Chasers. I also love the calendar and DVD suggestions.
Keep the ideas flowing!!
Ha! A Seggie snuggie!
I have a Gesundheit tee (wow, no correction from spell-check!) and shouldn't be spending the money on another one (seriously, SNC or no SNC, extreme belt-tightening here), but I would like a Chaser tee, as one of the people who got to have an opinion about the design. [No, I'm not special; before it came out, they asked right here what people thought of various possibilities. How cool is that?] Loved what they came up with, but I have to say I would like to see a better quality fabric in the tees. I did the "spirit wear" sale at my daughter's school a couple years running, and I know you can get more substantial fabric in the shirts without blowing the lid off the price.
Since I didn't make it to Atlantic City last summer, I would really enjoy a DVD of one of their shows.
I took some video at the show in Milwaukee and again at the Chicago Theater and put together my own movie, and I love watching it on a big screen TV, rather than bent over my computer, but the definition isn't as good. (Of course, it could be the camera person who is to blame, but we'll keep that our secret.)
I carry my tote bag everywhere, just so I can explain to non-Chasers, who they are, but I think they
should market a scarf or a vest, out of the same fabric as their suits (very shiny polyester) so we can identify fellow Chasers at concerts!
--I'd also buy a calendar. Some still poses from their concerts would be fun to look at each month!
And, and, one of those initial car magnet thingies (or window sticker) that every place has, like OBX for Outer Banks, etc.
The first thing I thought when I read your SNC Snuggie post, Kristin, was Seggie's name. Seggie Snuggie....oh jeez. I'll be going now!
I would love a calendar too! A cd of the Atlantic City concert would also be great!
Crystal
Straight No Chaser Snuggie! Who's with me! Anyone? Hello?
Calendar please!!
I like keychains too. Something smaller (cheaper) for people who don't take a lot of money to the concerts.
I would like trading cards too. I know they had them once. I'm thinking about making up my own SNC trading cards.
I "need" a SNC live video!!!!!!
The calendar would be sweet.
