This past weekend, my husband & I took our long-awaited mini-vacation to Windsor. We live in a suburb of Detroit, so it was literally a 25 minute drive for us. We bought tickets to see SNC @ Caesars Windsor when they went on sale, June 28th to be exact. We decided then to make it a belated anniversary trip/gift to ourselves and with the help of a few friends & family to help with our kids while we were away, we had a great time!
On Sunday, we decided to hit the sports bar, Legends, for lunch and to catch some of the Lions/Packers game. Legends is a man's dream come true--jumbo-tron sized tvs all over, a huge score ticker going around the place, good food and plenty of beer. Even I was impressed and didn't mind staying for a while. I even joked before we left the room that maybe "the boys" would be there, since I know they have a fantasy football league. And I knew they were in town because I could see the tour buses from our hotel window! I honestly, never in a million years expected what happened next!!
About 45 minutes into our time at Legends, while looking for our waitress for some refills, I spotted what looked to be Mike Luginbill with a hat on (I wasn't certain it was him until I saw Jerome a few seconds later!). My husband said I looked like a deer in headlights and couldn't even get the words out that some of "the boys" were there! And even better than that, they were seated only a few tables from us!! OMG!!--this was all I could think in my head at that moment! Then, Charlie, Dave & Tyler joined them~how was it possible that I was going to be able to breathe with them in the room???? I might have been ok if Mike had not been there, but gosh, that man makes my heart melt--those dimples, that voice....yum.
After collecting myself and deciding that I was absolutely NOT going to make a scene or ask for pictures, we decided to just simply send some "Holiday Spirits" their way and asked our waitress to put their first drinks on our bill. The guys were surprised and raised their glasses and smiled at us when the waitress brought their bucket of beer.
On our way out, we had to walk by their table--it was the only way to get out. As we approached their table, they stood up, shook our hands, thanked us for the beers and thanked us for making the trip to see them. Jerome even recognized my husband from a previous show we had been at months ago!
After the fantastic show, at the meet & greet, all 5 guys we met earlier in the day, remembered us by name, thanked us again, shook our hands and were kind enough to not only sign the scrapbook page I had made, but also agreed to a picture with all 10 of them. If only they knew how that made my year!
My husband has officially been moved to #11 on my list~and he's ok with that because the 10 guys above him are true gentlemen, true class acts and true artists of their craft!

What a great story. I agree, they are all great guys. So humble and down to earth. Thanks for sharing!!
Jennifer - fabulous story! What a treat, happy for you! My hubby is #11, too, but we'll just keep that our little secret.
Great story! I've never had the chance to meet them, but I love hearing stories like this. I've heard so many people say that the boys are as classy off stage as they are on. I love that about them. I'm so impressed that they remembered your names! They meet so many people! And I love that your husband is now #11 and okay with it--my boyfriend isn't okay with being behind Ryan Reynolds or Hugh Jackman. :-p
Happy Anniversary!
I don't think I could have been as "cool and collected" about seeing them as you were. Way to on on that one! How fun!
Great story!
That is adorable! I know what you mean about Mike............YUMMY
*snicker* Hubby is #11.
This is so cute! Thanks for sharing, Jennifer, and I must agree; 10 of the classiest, most gentleman-like men you'll ever meet.
I heartily agree!! What a great story! Thanks for sharing it!
I was so impressed with their kindness! It was my first show and it won't be my last....already planning the trip to Toronto!
Jennifer - thanks for posting your account of the evening!! These guys are the BEST! I did have to laugh that your hubs has moved to #11, though.
Ohhh, the journaling that could go on that scrapbook page! =)
I'm a fellow cropper!
Happy Anniversary!

Wow Jennifer, such an eloquent post!
You said it very well for all of us!
Jennifer,
Thank you for sharing this with us! I love this account. This is EXACTLY why we especially love Straight No Chaser: Classy, approachable, grateful for each and every fan, and so fun and talented!
Thanks for sharing your story with all the SNC fans. It just reaffirms what we all think, that this group is "special" and they make the rest of us feel that way, too! Happy belated Anniversary.
What an incredible day for you and your hubby, Jennifer! Reading these amazing experiences each time they are posted just reminds me of what incredible people make up SNC! They truly are amazing and I don't think I've met ten more impressive young men. After two years of this traveling all over this country, they always recognize the incredible fans they have made and show their appreciation to and for those fans! Great post and appreciate you posting it for all the Chasers to see--just reaffirms all the great experienced we've had with the guys!
Thanks for sharing such a great story! :-) :-) :-)
Jennifer, What a great time you had even before the concert began!! Always nice to hear other Chaser stories and their experience. The guys are truly a *class act*! :) Cheers, Alex
