If you all could say thank you to SNC, that their music has done whatever it has for you, what would it be? What has their music helped you celebrate? What not so good times or just stressful times has it helped you get through?

Other than thanking the guys for just being themselves and so appreciative of us and bringing us to each other, I know there's a lot of times, good and bad when I'll pop on SNC and it's nice to celebrate with them but also get through the bad times with them. Yea, sometimes it's just being stuck in traffic that Chicago and the burbs and famous for or a rough day at school or getting through exams. (I put my ipod on a special mix to listen to while I take exams to lessen my extreme testing anxiety...it helps).

My cousin's older one, (he calls me his aunt) almost five now, was staying with my parents and I (without his baby brother and parents) and it was past time for naptime and bedtime. He wouldn't go to sleep. I put a mix on of SNC songs and a few other relaxing songs by other musicians and finally....that miracle called sleep happened. I was a happy camper.

On the other hand, it's great music that encourages me to walk that much further and lose weight faster. It's also great physical therapy music. (Same for the fan chat podcasts!)

So often it's not gifts that fans give their favorite musicians but these stories of what their music has helped people with that mean more to the musicians. So tell them your stories.

This past week, they have helped me tremedously!!!! Here is my story.....
Can anyone top this????
Your phone/internet/cable provider not just disconnects you for no reason, THEY CUT the line outside your home. They know they screwed up BIG TIME, don't know who did it or authorized it. It takes talking to 11 "customer service" people and FINALLY a managers name, direct phone number and FIVE days to get service back. Still waiting for my compensation......Like that will happen as quick as they cut the service!!!!!!!
Thank God I have the CD's and DVD's to help calm me down and get my frustration level down a bit. The worst part is that I ALWAYS watch Mike singing "Like A Prayer" before I go to bed. Tonight, I FINALLY get to see/hear my "bedtime song"..:) :) :)

They have helped me rediscover my joy. And make lots of great new friends.

Agreed to everything said. Soothing voices, yet fun and vibrant. Plus i think the memories of meeting with other Chasers, the M&G line, the one-liners from Charlie, the antics on stage by them all, their personalities and smiles....all kinda get wrapped up in really, really good feelings and appeals to one's senses. Very healing stuff. Very healing and fun community here. Very uplifting. i am gonna get a bit preachy (watch out-my Daddy's a preacher man...so here it comes): i honestly and truly think SNC has been given an incredible gift. Not only of their voices but just who they are and the community they promote. i also think this is not by chance.....but Divinely lead. There is something to be said for Men who follow the path that is theirs and realize that they impact lives everywhere. Kinda makes one (ok, me) want to make sure i am living to my full potential and impacting lives as i should...for the better..for a deeper purpose than just 'living'. (Sermon over).

Also:

they are totally hot.

Amen.

Thanks for starting this thread Lauren. I was recently in the hospital for 19 days and let me tell you having SNC on my MP3 player got me through some long nights. I would listen when I couldn't get to sleep, which was most nights. My husband would take it home and recharge it and bring it back so it was ready for the next night. I'm doing much better now and can't wait to get to Gettysburg this weekend to see them in concert there.
