I have the privilege and the honor of starting our next Love Thread, for the amazing, talented and brilliant Walter Chase. Walt is the creator of the A Cappella sensation, Walter Chase and The Airtight. Walt is also the “creator” of #WaltMovieReviews, #WaltFunFacts and #SNCFunFacts on Twitter. Also on Twitter is fan-created *Fatty Tuesday* which is all fun things Walter Chase. I might say Walt is the best “tweeter” of all!
There have been so many words that Chasers used to try and best describe Walt and here are some of those words.
Funny, Brilliant, Diligent, Brotherly, Wicked, Remarkable, Genius, Silly, Innovative, Genuine, Concrete, Talented. All great words that describe Walt in so many ways.
On a personal note, when I went to my first live show, Walt mentioned because it was my first show that I was a “Newbie”. When I went to my second live show the following week, Walt said that I was no longer a “Newbie”, I was now a real “Chaser”. That really meant so much to me, you would not believe.
Let's take this time to show Walt how much love we have for him.

Wanted to bump Walt's Love
Wanted to bump Walt's Love Thread up so I figured this is a good time for a reminder. If you are wild for Walt AND you are a sports fan, be sure to follow him on Twitter (@SportsWalt) in addition to his @SNCWalt name. He is in the midst of the NHL Eastern Conference Finals beginning this week with his beloved NJ Devils one series away from the Stanley Cup Finals. Walt is also in the heat of MLB season with his NY Mets doing well (not sure how his Fantasy League teams are doing) & he's up on the NBA Playoffs with his Philadelphia 76ers.
Walt is more active tweeting sports so if you're not already following him, check out @SportsWalt and have fun sharing his passion for sports (NFL season coming back soon too)!
Oops, I meant town and not
Oops, I meant town and not two. ;)
Walt,
Walt,
Missoula loved having SNC in two. I hope your first visit to MT was a good one. You guys put on a fantastic show, especially "Hi Dee Ho!" http://www.sncmusic.com/photo/wilma-theater-missoula-mt-5
So today on FB i read that
So today on FB i read that someone asked Walter if 'this' ever gets old and he said no, that it was still unreal to him. And i kinda was thinking how awesome that is because i know to the Chasers the group never gets old. Even for those who have seen multiple shows, there is always something that delights us and makes us smile.
Thank you, Walter and SNC. You are truly a great group of men!
Walt was so sweet to me the last 2 shows I went to in Calgary and Edmonton.
???!
A whole week with no Walt love? What is up with that??? I am continually amazed at Walt's talent and excellence in directing this group. I absolutely loved Walt's recent SNCfanchat. If you haven't heard it, stop right now and go to sncfanchat.blogspot.com.
Thanks Walt, for being so personable and kind to the Chasers - you are such a great guy.
PS - I am glad that Walt love Ryan Ahlwardt. (If this statement doesn't make sense it means you didn't go listen to the fanchat!) ;)
Today, 2/28/12 is Walter Chase Day - better known as "FATTY TUESDAY", that one special day of the year to celebrate everything Walt! Be sure to head over to Twitter and follow @FattyTuesday all day long (or if you don't tweet you can check out the Twitter feed on this site's Community Page). The awesome & dedicated Fatty Tuesday leaders are tweeting Walt trivia & #FattyFunFacts about SNC's wonderful Music Director. Let's do this!
And if Walt and the Airtight wanted to share some music with us like Ryan has been doing on his blog site we'd be totally fine with it! ;-)
So, for those of you who don't know, apparently "The Airtight" has been hard at work preparing songs for the UK and spring tour. I would like to just say, THANKS WALT!! I cannot wait to hear all of your hard work put together melodiously!! :D
For those who might have missed it, Walt tweeted early this morning that he became an uncle for the fourth time on Thursday. Not sure if it's a niece or a nephew, but all of us send congratulations to Walt and his family!
Walt souns absolutely perfect on "Get Ready" on the new EP! #powerfulvoice
I love when Walt gets some solos like the awesome "Buddy Holly" - He definitely needs to be featured more frequently (especially songs that show off his falsetto) - But Walt's true brilliance is his arranging & producing talents - He blows me away with his creativity and ability - He's so freaking amazing
Also hope his wife likes his facial stubble because he's rocking that 5 o'clock shadow unshaven look (Sonny Crockett eat your heart out) - For all those too young to know that reference that was Don *ohnson's character on 80's TV hit show "Miami Vice" - Walt is even more handsome with that "scruffy" look going on
Walt is awesome - I have been listening to the new EP a lot (don't judge, you know you have been playing it over and over too). Walt does an amazing job on Buddy Holly song! He always sound great on anything he sings. I know he put a lot of work into this EP and working on final touches. Kudos to Walt and the guys for a job extremely well done!
Just have to show Walt a little love for the favor he did for me at the Chicago shows this weekend. I had planned to call a friend and let her listen to "Grinch" live during the show, and I wasn't sure if or when they would be singing it during the 8pm show. So during the M&G after the 3pm show, I asked Walt if he knew when they would be doing it. He said he didn't know, but he would tweet me about it. And he did. Because he's FREAKING AWESOME.
ps..feel free to do "Cry Me a River" or "Feeling Good"...just sayin'.
i have meaning to write this for a while (since the Hershey show) but Walter (!) that Michael Buble "Haven't Met You Yet" rendidtion was over the top! i could not stop smiling the entire song. i LOVE that song..LOVED your arrangement...loved everything about it. ...the whistling...the solos...the..the..EVERYTHING (whew, i need to lay off the coffee!). Thank you, Walter, for once again giving us music that is pure joy to experience.
Angie said it exactly right! Walter totally rocks!
Listening to the new EP today - WOW. Walt, you've done it again. You've gone and blown me away with your ridiculous talent in both singing and arranging. Pretty easy on the eyes too. ?
I think Walt is one of the most talented people I have ever had the opportunity to hear and see. He's not just talented in singing but in arranging. I still don't know how he comes up with all those parts for everyone to sing and how he makes it sound 10x better than the original i.e. Fix You. As someone who knows a tiny bit about music, I appreciate the time and work he takes to make every one of those songs sound beautiful and he makes it look so effortless. Walt is amazing!!
And here i am again....on the Walter love thread.
Hey Walt....i have a tiny suggestion about one of the songs. You know how you give the audience a few seconds to get composed after Fix You and Like a Prayer? ...well, i think that also needs to happen after Hark the Herald Angels. The Hershey show (amazing as always...the whole day was!!!) when ya'll sang Hark...i know a number of people around me literally exhaled audibly after the song..some had tears..some just needed a min to process it emotionally but then the group went right into the next song (Seggie's Donde Esta....) which i LOVE but couldn't engage in until like the middle of the song. Anyway, just an idea....
Thank you again and again for your amazing arrangements and direction of the group. Also...those high trumpet notes are pretty hot!
i just have to write about Walter and his amazing arranging. i watched a bit of The Sing-Off, which i think is a great show, but many of songs' harmonies get on my last nerve. i haven't figured out if it's just the voices or the actual arrangements. However, i can say, without reserve, that Walter's arrangements are amazing and sound SOOOOO good. So thank you, Walter Chase, for arranging wonderful music that actually sounds great.
Walt is great.....love his laid back style on stage!
Just kinda hit me that I get to see Walt's Beard one week from tonight. Stoked.

Congrats to Walt and his family - he's an uncle again! Here's his tweet from earlier today:

I agree Walt's sense of humor is great!
Wow - I get to hear the screamin' tenor stylings of Mr. Walter Chase in 9 days!
That exchange between Walt and Charlie was hilarious! Walt has a dry, witty sense of humor that never fails to make me laugh!
I LOVED Walt's tweets to Charlie the other night! He was very funny!
I also really enjoyed his tweets updating us on their progress in the studio & the pictures he tweeted of the places he went on his time off. I am of the mind that SNCMusic should re-tweet every single one of Walt's tweets. They are epic & they need to be shared with the world!
