We should start a "pen-pal" type group so that fans in the same general area can find out about upcoming SNC concerts, and people who've already been to the venue can offer hints about places to stay, eat, and things to bring along, ie. bug spray in Gettysburg. Gettysburg was my first SNC live show, although I have all the recordings. It would have been helpful to have directions to the venue, and tips about attractions in the area. We stayed at the Hampton in town, it was okay but nothing to write home about.
I would have loved that, all of it. I have followed you guys since the first time I heard the Christmas Song. I have all the cds and the digital music as well. All my friends have now heard of SNC, but you aren't well known up here in Schuylkill County. My kids (19 and 22) came to see you in Gettysburg and would love to come again.
Agreed with everything said here! So fun to meet up before and after the show! And the new thread feature on the tour schedule works well. Sometimes on FB the Straight No Chaser page has "events" created and there will be postings on that "wall". People can connect there as well. Check this out as well as "events" (although I don't see much listed there right now)

Sorry we missed you @ G'burg would have loved to meet up with you. Many chasers got together for dinner before the show and many us actually organized a little get-together after the show @ one of the hotels in town. Communication for these activities were done right here on the web site. As Karen said below, each upcoming venue has a discussion page of its own. Just click the "Tour" button on the top, then you will be brought to a list of the guys upcoming shows. Click on "more info" next to the venue you are attending and you will be in that venues discussion area.

How great is that? Right now, I wanted to find out if SNC will be in Gettysburg again new year, so I could start saving up. We live about 100 miles away.
Awesome idea @Pitmanette!!! The SNC webcrew has a great feature on their site here where you can post that you are going to a specific show. So, if there is a show you are planning on attending, you can post that you're going and you can see who else has checked in too. These discussion groups are a great way to connect with people as well.

Oh, and I forgot to add this....if we "meet" online, then we could actually meet in person at the venue, and enrich our enjoyment of the show.
