I am just curious as to some of the gifts that fellow Chasers have brought to the guys at shows and stuff?  I know I read somewhere that someone had suggested things that might be helpful to their health while on tour.... I don't know if any of the guys drink tea or anything like that.  And if any of the guys actually read this, not that you would ever ask for gifts, but if you could receive a wish list item what would it be?

I have been so slacking in uploading my pictures to this site. As well as videos both here and on FB. I was able to upload pics to FB and videos to youtube. And although our seats were amazing!!! And my pictures turned out fantastic!!! My videos aren't quite as good. Only because I had to just start it and let it go so that I could take pictures and enjoy the show. So I wasn't able to take the time to zoom in and out and get closer views of the guys. Oh well! The show was completely amazing and a definite highlight for both me and my son.

Well, If had so many other things that needed more of my attention lately, I haven't finished my gifts (SO sorry, guys!). Thank God I'm seeing them in April!

FINALLY!!!! The concert is tomorrow night. Sign.... check, camera... check, batteries... check, gifts for the guys... check. EXCITED!!! Double check! My son and I are both so ready for this concert tomorrow night!!! I have (jealously, I admit) listened to everyone talk about how awesome their concert was and since this will be our first "fall" show, I can't wait to hear the "Can-Can" and "12 days" among many others! Any other Baltimore fans who will be there tomorrow send me a message and we will try to meet up at some point in time tomorrow night. I am planning on getting there early because we have to pick our tickets up from will call... I plan on being first in line.. lol. I am sure I will have pictures posted within the next couple of days. And this time we are taking my son's digital camera so we can upload videos too... lol

Christina... thanks for the advice. I can't afford much but I had already printed pictures for the guys from the LDW AC concert that we attended. So they will be getting those, they each have their own set of pics, plus a little goodie bag for the whole group. I know several people have said throat coat tea, I also thought that the starlight mints would be a good idea too. They are always good for sore or irrated throats.... not to mention good breath... ;)
Racer.... thanks for the heads up about the Can Can. I must say a part of me was hoping that B'more would be the first night they sang it, but as long as we hear it I am happy. I am sure they sounded great in CT. 3 days and counting until the show!!!!

I think something home-made or something native to your area would be neat. It kinda depends on factors like how much time you have or how much money you can spend. When there's at least ten guys (more if you include Korby and Blake and the crew) it can get pricey. I was lucky when they came to Canada to find those mittens on sale the first time I saw them. They seemed to like them, especially since they were widely recognized due to the Olympics. Then the last time I saw them, I didn't have money to spend of gifts but wanted to do something for them so I did the drawings. They seemed to like those as well. I think both were very different and unique to both myself and the area where I saw them.

They have begun their holiday set and performed the Christmas Can-Can on Sunday when we saw them in CT. I have a very good feeling we will be seeing it again in Baltimore!

5 DAYS AND COUNTING!!!!! I can't wait to see the guys again in Baltimore. I have watched a lot of the youtube videos and I am so excited for the songs I have seen so far. My son and I are just really keeping our fingers crossed for the "Can-Can" because as of yet I haven't seen any youtubes of it this year!

I'm soo upset with myself...A fellow Chaser picked up my gift for them, for me, and I had it with me, but was so nervous I forgot to give it to them!!! It was just something really little, from my maternal side, ...but still!! How goofy can a body get? Sometimes my stupidity even amazes me!! Dah! Oh well, I'm praying for another opportunity, maybe in December (to redeem myself)??!!!

@Mama2josh23 - Great thread!! Can't wait to hear what you got them!! I know I've felt really lacking in this area, especially in comparison to the wonderfully creative gifts so many Chasers have come up with! I also had wanted to bake them something - *That* I can do, but heard they didn't want any more cookies, etc....(but didn't know it was because of the weight thing! - Thanks @S.Brandon!) @Lisa N.- Thanks for sharing what Seggie said. That was so sweet of him to say that! I know we just love these guys so much for who they are, for what they do, and for how exceptionally well they do it, that we just wanna give something back to them...I hope more people comment here, and if the guys could give us that wish list (not unlike a registry!)... that would be awesome! Have a fantabulous time
...I just saw them Friday in Youngstown, and they absolutely rocked my socks off...blew me away....completely exceeded my expectations, and left me speechless!! (which some people find hard to believe)
Enjoy! And keep us posted, will you?

@Brittain you are welcome! I think finally figured out what I am bringing to the guys! Enjoy your first show.... they are amazing! And as I am sure you have read, make sure you stay for the meet and greet. The guys are so nice. We have less than two weeks until my son and I hit our second show. He is just as excited as I am!!! It's great!

Thanks for starting this discussion @mama2josh23, I have wanted to ask this same question for sometime but kept putting it off. With only 31 more days until my first show I am unsure of what to give. I have been thinking about the wintermint orbit gum because of the youtube video that Tyler posted I think from last year. Or maybe each a different flavor, with a silly little note like “what kind of day are you having…..winter, pep, or spear.” I don’t know if that would be too odd, help I need some ideas! http://www.youtube.com/watchv=FPiyxsQQgGs&list=PLA40CE53A1271C64E&index=...

For the last AC show, I just gave them each an Atlantic City postcard with a thank-you note written on the back. They were really sweet about it...they acted as if I had given them gold! At the Milwaukee show last Saturday I considered giving them some wine from Door County WI (where Randy takes those gorgeous pictures!!) but because I wasn't sure of their space limitations, I ended up giving them thanks and handshakes. They will love anything you give them, as long as it's from the heart.

@AngieTheCanuck So I have 3 months to come up ideas for gifts

I'm sure they'd appreciate that, Melanie!

I might have to give them something Scottish when they come to Scotland in February.

Mine's easy! Small boxes of Tic Tacs!!! ^ ~ ^
I'm sure just an appreciative note or just letting them know in person how much you enjoy their music...and their personalities(!)...is sufficient enough!! If you get tongue-tied...a smile says it all!! ^ ~ ^

We gave them thank you gifts after the last AC show. We gave them each a box of Throat Coat; Indiana University blinking lapel pin; personalized M&M's (one design was a photo of a microphone; one said "Thank You SNC"; one was "I heart SNC"...with a heart and not the word...lol; the last one said "Love, Kel and Sandi...me and my mom). We also had stuff from my husbands work...he works at Pine Valley Golf Club which is an ultra-exclusive golf course that is members only and is usually rated as one of the top courses in the world...anyone who is a golfer knows about it and since most of the guys golf, my hubby got them score cards and pencils and he bought hats for each guy. If you look at some of the LDW photos, you'll see some of the guys wearing them...they were white baseball hats. We also wrote a thank you card to each guy and we also gave a card and M&M's to Korby. They loved the gifts. They're very appreciative of whatever you may do. Hope to meet you at the Meyerhoff!!

mama2josh23's picture

Wow Dana.... I don't think the guys would want me to bring them crabs (a Maryland delicacy)... LOL. Not to mention that since I only recently moved up to Maryland I did not grow up with "Old Bay" being a spice that sits on my table alongside salt and pepper and I actually don't think I could handle them being in my car even for the short ride to the Meyerhoff. LOL. I appreciate all the ideas that everyone has given me.... I am sure I will figure out something awesome as a small gift for them.

i was thinking about giving them something that you can only buy in the state your from or of the such- i'm from TN and you can only buy goo goo clusters here (a candy made in TN and a lifelong sponsor of the Grand Ole Opry but since it has nuts I was also going to get them a bottle of Jack Daniels (again made in TN & for Seggie) I thought that would be a good idea.

Lisa N.'s picture

I gave them Throat Coat tea, hot cocoa and flavored holiday teas. They are very appreciative. I love what Seggie said when asked this question on a SNCTell All Tuesday - he said, that the best gift was the purchase of the ticket to come and see them!

I think they have a trailer this tour, but it's for the risers.

I took several kinds of homemade cookies two concerts ago, but they posted here asking that people stop bringing such things, as it was giving them trouble with gaining weight on the road. Also, I'm not sure how much food they can reasonably store as they travel, especially if they have fans giving them food every show!

Heck, I'm not sure where they put *anything* people bring them after a while. I'm not saying people shouldn't give them stuff; I just wonder where the heck they put it on two buses for several weeks. I'm thinking the Throat Coat tea sounds like a good idea: practical, good for them, and consumable, so it won't take up space. Maybe someone should give them a third bus, or at least a U-Haul trailer. ;-)

I was hitting AC all summer long taking homemade goodies. One of the guys had mentioned they missed home-cooking when they're on the road. I took brownies, angl food cake, fresh peach bread, pepperoni/sausage bread and coffee cake to name a few. If you decide to go this route, keep in mind that Seggie is highly allergic to nuts.

You *may* have read that on our blog. The guys have mentioned that they like Throat Coat tea. Amanda and I gave them some this summer in AC and they seemed really appreciative of it. We have also gone the homemade gift route. These gifts usually have some sort of personal meaning or sentiment. They seriously love and appreciate everything Chasers do for them (no matter what it is).
