Okay, don't you think it would be awesome if there was some kind of thing where Chasers got notified any time there was going to be a concert near them? And then if there were a certain number of tickets reserved for Chasers? I've been home sick the past 3 days and have been on the website quite a bit. So, I got to thinkin'. What do you all think??

    Thanks!

Well, I've been a Chaser for over a year, but I never really did as much research as I've been doing lately. I'm working my way towards "expert", Lol!

No worries Jessica!
There's a lot of stuff here to discover.
Welcome to all the newbies!

Yeah, after putting this discussion up, I did some searching...bought tickets for the Gettysburg show...and realized that everything in my topic is basically already there. Ha...I feel a little silly. But hey, at least I know now!

Yea, well, if you all hadn't noticed, I am a slightly obsessive person with an addictive personality!
Thankfully, my addictions aren't alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or gambling!
Rather, I fixate on other things, like genealogy, the internet, & all things SNC!
I'm also very stubborn. I usually won't take no for any answer when I know it's not the right one, & if I'm getting nowhere with one person, if I have to talk to every person there til I find the one who'll give me the right answer, I'll do it. Such as coming up with someone at Harrah's in AC who supplied me with the ask me about SNC buttons & SNC keycards for the closing nite concert so all the 30+ chasers there & every member of the group & their families could have one! And, finally after months of searching, emailing, calling, writing, & pestering everyone I could find, coming up with a source for the IU SNC cds!
I don't give up on something until I've exhausted every possible outlet. And, I'm not necessarily done with it either at that point, all I'm doing is regrouping to come back at the problem in maybe a different way.
Now, if I could only find a way to work that into a profession, I'd be rich for life, well, monetarily anyway! ;-)

Donna, you always amaze me with your volumes of knowledge - nice job. I may have to read it over 5 times, but thanks for the update!

thanks for the info! I'll be on the lookouts for shows that I'll be able to go to in the future!

If you're registered here, you're a member. The tour schedule is an ongoing thing, & you'll find new dates popping up when they're available in the blog or the emails that are sent out.
The tour link above takes you to the dates & is the seen by everyone.
I'm pretty sure that from the beginning, the links to buy tickets that we get from the tour list include the rows that they're able to put up in the unused orchestra pit. Those have always been reserved for us, & if I'm remembering correctly, we get access to them before tickets are available elsewhere. I've been in those seats multiple times, the orchestra pit rows, anywhere from 2-4 rows available I think depending on how much room is availabe, & it really does end up with chasers there many times, with our buttons & t-shirts. When PBS stations are involved, that's where their seats are too that they sell which sometimes include the pre-show m&g. When you see front row tickets for sale elsewhere for exhorbitant prices, like ebay, those are usually the seats in back of the orchestra pit ones where we'll be sitting & which we paid a fraction of what they're asking for them. It's so great that they're able to keep our tickets at such a reasonable price.
The starz.bz site has been who carries the special tickets, like NYE & AC. I joined when I bought the front row AC tickets & I believe the only reason to register there is to buy tickets, which is why it may be asking for a credit card number. It's not a part of the fan club, just a site to buy the tickets.
When they 1st announced the AC engagement, they had all of the 1st & 2nd row seats saved for us. They did an auction of the front row seats starting at 40.00 or you could buy them outright for 80.00. We were told that the proceeds from those seats were going to the AC school music program. Starz.bz had the 1st row. The 2nd row seats for the AC shows went to us for 35.00 each, & that was a different site.
Hope I answered everyone's questions.

@cruiserkelli, the only thing I could find on starz.bz was tickets for the NYE show...which obviously doesn't help lol! Do you have to become a member to see all of the sales or is it just not updated yet??

Jessica_15's picture

@Nicole A.- I completely agree with NYE!! I wanted front row, but couldn't afford the tickets! I guess I was just thinking like make the first, say, 3 or 4 rows reserved for Chasers. Like a first come, first serve type thing. Because once there are too many things involved, then people get upset and there's a whole big thing. Ha. I would just keep it simple. Something like that.

thanks for the starz.bz link! I tried registering for an account but it's asking me for my credit card number and such. Does it really cost $ to be a member? If so, how much?

I like the idea of a "Chaser section" especially for shows like AC where a lot of us will be buying tickets at different times all across the country, but we'd love to have seats together. That would make it *so* simple. I see a problem though in deciding how a person acquires "chaser" status. There are a lot of people who joined the website, but don't keep up to date (there are 15,000+ "active fans" in the fan section), and there are a lot of people who are huge fans, but haven't joined the site. And how would you decide how big to make that section? There were 30ish SuperFans at the last show in AC last year, but that number has grown... And ultimately, eventually, wouldn't you want the whole theater to be filled with SuperFans? I could see it working with something like what they did with NYE, have more expensive tickets for the Chaser Section, but then you run into "I have the heart of a SuperFan, but I can't afford it." (Coming from a poor college student.)

But I *do* like the idea! =]

@cruiserkelli - when I tried using starz.bz they did not have great seats. So I went through Ticket Master, but then later found out the all the front row seats were *saved* for people who bought tickets whose seats were not great for viewing the entire stage. :/ I'm sure the the venue was in charge of all that, because the ushers were actually moving the people to the front.

Terry_4's picture

@cruiserkelli, thanks for the heads-up on starz.bz. I did not know that. When I bought my tickets at the Oakdale here in CT, I went straight there to purchase. Bad idea!! Would love to have "premium chaser seating"!

Erin_13's picture

They do have an emailing list, or they did anyway, you can join and they email you any new things that you may want to know.

S. Brandon's picture

They have done this a few times, Jessica. I think you mostly need to keep an eye on the tour section of this site.

Jessica_15's picture

Hey, thanks!

When the tickets to the tour go on sale, alot of times they offer tickets through their fan club ticketer starz.bz and those are usually really good seats. I got front row for New Year's Eve with the premium package and we had 3rd row for both Caesar's Atlantic City shows over Thanksgiving weekend. I think that when the shows first go on sale (and probably until they run out of tickets) the tickets are available through starz.bz which you access from the tour page on this site. Hope this helps...I've only had great seats for all the shows I've been too...just try to buy them right away!

Jessica_15's picture

Yes! And true, there is the site. Which I check all the time for new tours. (Luckily they posted the blog about new shows they are having.) I guess I meant, like each Chaser could get a notification of a show, in case they don't get to check the site for a couple weeks or something. However, the site is good I guess! But yeah, I think it would be so cool if they could save tickets!

SingForMe's picture

Jess ~ We have this site, which tells us when the guys will be near us. So that's covered, I think. But, I LOVE the idea of having tickets reserved for Chasers! First few rows in the center... Yay!
