Conflicting tour dates

Anyone know how the guys are going to be in Boston and in Washington state on the same day - December 19th?  Are there more than one group of Straight No Chasers touring? I want to make sure it's the guys I'm used to listening to.

Thanks,

Jason

    Hi all,

The Washington show is Indiana University’s undergraduate group: IU’s Straight No Chaser is not us.

    Sorry for the confusion!

Does this mean Jason ended up with the college group? Not too clear on that. But if that's the case, Jason, a friend of my daughter's goes to I.U. and she says their group is really good, too. It would seem to me that with these guys having gone professional, that the I.U. rotating college member group out to somehow adapt the name.

Lauren, I'm sure that the University has some sort of "rights" to the "straight no chaser" name. Especially since they were first.

But hey,,,,thanks for validating my response below.

Dave, I can't vouch for this years set, but I can vouch for previous years. The years I did see the college version, they were wonderful. Depending on the songs, you will leave with your stomach hurting from laughing so much. The voices will be wonderful-just not quite this wonderful. Interesting to see though that they are still being able to keep the name despite SNC's being signed to Atlantic.

J Core and Gobroncos. It took me a little searching and I have an answer. One that neither one of you, will appreciate.

This involves "INDIANA UNIVERSITY'S Straight No Chaser", which will appear Tacoma Dec 19th and Sturgis on Dec 4th.

I'm sure that you both will have a great concert to go to as the guys are from the grass roots level that was started by the Original SNC. They will surely be very talented and the music entertaining. Please don't think of them as a "B" group since you gotta be pretty damn good to even get in.

Wish there was something more I could say to give comfort except go to these shows with open minds, and you will be entertained.

Equally confused - We have tickets to see them in Sturgis, MI but their site makes no reference to this location and in fact, says they will be in Piqua, OH on the same night (Friday, Dec 4th). They must have two groups, which pretty much sucks that we will be hearing a "B" group.
