So.  Those of you who were with us at the old site knew about the discussion we had about Glee.  In keeping with that, let's hear your thoughts about each new episode as it airs.  The next new ep, "Wheels," will not be airing until November 11th, due to the World Series (or so I'm told).  So, in the meantime, let's hear your general feelings about the show.

    I COMPLETELY AGREE.

    Me too!
I think a Warblers spin-off might make my brain implode with aca-awesomeness. Not unlike an SNC concert. But maybe a little less intense. :P haha.

I know, right?! I think they should make a spin-off focusing on the Dalton Warblers. I'd DEFINITELY watch that.

Old thread, I know... but I just had to say...

How amazingly AWESOME are the Dalton Warblers? (Ahem, Tufts Beelzebubs.)

Yep, a good episode. Got a little teary-eyed at the last choir number. Could still kick Quinn and Schue's wife; now we can add Quinn's parent to that list, too. Feel bad for Kurt and Puck. Well, only kind of for Puck. He ought to man up.

Great music on tonights show. Very good story line.....looks like all the secrets are starting to come out. The stupidity seems to be disappearing.

I loved the pilot but the wife storyline was immediately annoying. Those kids are talented indeed of they are doing their own singing but i don't watch it 'cause, well, i can see it turning disappointing really soon with the storyline.

Say what you will about the stereotypes constantly played out and Will's ABSURDLY annoying wife (that character really drags down the show), but there are some bright spots. See Below...

    (1) Jane Lynch
    (2) Lea Michele (It's not every day someone of her talent level is singing on FOX-she's a bit above American Idol)
    (3) Mostly good music; there recording of Avril Lavigne's Keep Holding On was really well done; I could go without Will singing too much

I don't want the show to be a reality show, I'd just like it to have some substance to it. However, I really do understand why the kids in high school like it, it takes place in a high school. I remember my high school days and I loved them. We did some really silly things. And, if it sounded like I was trashing it, it's because it's only my opinion. This is the same guy who did Popular and I liked that show. It was never intended to be reality (it's more like a high school soap opera), however, it really needs work on the story lines. But, I will say, the music is really good.

I hope the last one is not true! I really don't want them to stay together!

Shaina, this source is usually reliable, so let's hope the first two out of three are true:

Question: G’day! How about you share some Glee scoop? —Vivian
Ausiello: Okay, mate. There’s a crazy-ass rumor going around that Will will discover Terri’s faux baby plot, dump her, and then, in a moment of passion, get her pregnant for real! The really crazy-ass part? Sources confirm that two of those three things are true! And the other one? Not so much.

Gotta agree with JLee for the most part. It isn't supposed to be realistic. Sue would never get away with saying the things she does, and the kids wouldn't be doing nearly R-rated performances (their first one before the assembly), among other things. That being said, it is very choppy in its story lines and the writers can't seem to make up their minds if we are supposed to take any of it seriously. Loved Sue and Will's dance but wish they would quite overriding the kids' singing with so much extra music. Can't make up my mind if I'm going to keep watching or not.

What do "reality" and "television" typically have in common? Not much. So why trash a piece of fluff entertainment for not being realistic? Enjoy it for what it is, and take away the moments you want from it. It's just television, after all. Not life.

Y'know, if I said anything I just said below at my school, I'd probably be chewed out. Just sayin', since so many people gush about how they love the show.

I do have to say that the show DOES have its moments: remember the football players dancing to "Single Ladies"? Now THAT was funny, though unrealistic.
