Maybe I'm being stupid, but I can't get this CD to play. On the computer, all I get is the photo that is on the cover of the CD. There dcoesn't seem to be any way to actually play it, and it's driving me nuts! Ther is a little thing on the task bar that says "open me" but all it opens is this picture. Can anyone help?

Sorry for the delay in responding. I finally got around to trying out the solution and unfortunately it didn't work. For some reason, my Blu-ray DVD-ROM drive on my computer just won't read the disc. I know it's not a problem with my drive because it plays every other disc I put in there. And I know it's not the CD because I managed to play it on my PS3 and regular CD player.

I'm stumped so if anyone else has any other suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. I already returned one CD so I'm sure the CD can't have the same defect twice, especially since I can play it on a regular CD player; just not on my computer drive.

Thai, please let us know if it works.

Thai - no problem, should be easy enough and hope it works ok for you!

Thanks for the support and New Year's wishes, S. Brandon. I appreciate it! :-)

And Dave - Thank you!!! That's a great idea! I guess I just didn't think enough about it to get creative. That should be a very simple solution to ripping the songs for my iPond. Thank you for your help.

Thai - once you've opened Windows Media Player and have the CD up on the playlist, You would then be able to "rip" (see tab at top of WMP page). Now that you have the music in a MP3 format, you should be able to move the music into your Itunes to play on your Ipod.

Thai - I hope someone can help you; that must be very frustrating. Afraid I'm fairly clueless when it comes to troubleshooting these things, though. :-\ Thanks for the New Year wishes - to you, also! :-)

    Hello fellow SNC fans!

Glad I finally got my account properly transferred from the old SNC site. I couldn't get the password to work when this site was launched and haven't had a chance to revisit and fix the problem since then. I'm happy to see the busy hub-bub of activity here and the popularity of SNC continuing to grow. Anyway, onto my question...

I had the same problem with my new Christmas Cheers CD so I thought perhaps it was defective. I exchanged it but as it turns out, it had the same issue. It plays on a regular CD player but just won't work on my computer. I like Dave's Window Media Player resolution in order to play the CD on my computer. However, what I'd like to do is load the CD onto my iTunes database like I do with all my other CDs but it just won't read the CD and start the import.

Does anyone know if there's an intentional block to stop it from being imported into iTunes? Should I be purchasing the digital download as well, or is there some way to get the songs directly from the CD onto iTunes? I just want to be able to play it on my iPhone and iPod while running around. :-)

Thank you very much any help and ideas that anyone can provide. And warm New Year's Blessings to you all!

Glad it worked Patty, thanks for the reply!

There is something with some audio CDs that won't play automatically when inserted. This one happens to be one of them.

Not sure why this reply isn't posting - trying once more. Thanks Dave for your help. I opened Windows Media Player first and it worked perfectly! Happy New year!

Dave, Thanks so much for your suggestion to open media player first. I did that and it worked perfectly! Positive feedback is great!

oh I meant to say you should for sure return the disc and get your money back since it doesn't work and perhaps have them try playing a new one to make sure it isn't defective so you can hear their music and base your being a fan on their music rather than the manufacturer's error. I do get where you're coming from though because I've had similar issues with movies and it has nothing to do with the film being good or not it's just the dvd is messed up and it makes it hard to want to see it after the dvd doesn't play.

It's unfortunate because getting a cd to work is the manufactuer's fault and not the groups. They aren't in control of that aspect of the process but sadly they will be the one's blamed for it because it is their picture on the front of the cd case. It would be one thing if you didn't enjoy their music (hard to believe but it happens with every artist) but by the sounds of it you didn't even get a chance to hear it.
I don't know if its just because I bought Holiday Spirits when it first came out but I have never had a problem playing on my computer or in a cd player.

Yes, sorry also for the negative BS, but I read that last night, and I just went red. I would have loved to say more....but I limited it to my two lines.

Thanks for the back up Shaina :o)

Sorry for all this negativity, Patti. Did it work?
