Vacations are great, but coming home is much better!
Italy - a beautiful place to visit, but 3 weeks was way too much.
Internet! When we found somewhere that had it, it was expensive, slow, & undependable.
Credit Cards! Not everyone takes them, & even when the signs say they do, you better ask, cause chances are, whatever they need to take them, is down at that moment!
Air Conditioning! Extremes! Either it was on, but you could hardly tell, or it was blasting & the business door was open. Very strange...... It was 98 degrees when I left to come home. The men are in suits, the woman in long sleeves, scarves, & hats, & I'm dying!!!! No one has it in their homes either. They have shutters that you open at night & close during the day, but there aren't any screens either, & the bees look like they're on steroids, the cicadas like they could eat the bees, & they dive bomb you! Not to mention scorpions. Yes boys & girls, Italy has scorpions!!!!
NO STRAIGHT NO CHASER!!!!!
Thankfully, I had plenty of SNC video & music on my computer, & I made new fans of my 2 young cousins & their grandparents my aunt & uncle. I made a cd for the rental car when we were site seeing, & we watched the videos & dvds in the evenings back at the villa they'd rented.
There are shows coming to where they live, in Peoria, IL & Atlanta, GA, & I believe they'll be attending.
But most of all, I missed interacting with everyone here & on facebook, & getting all the scoop from the guys while they're out & about!
Can't wait to go back! ;-)
