Ideas for a song?

(20100629T220222Z )

Hi Guys - My husband and I saw you in Collingswood a few months back. GREAT SHOW!! Your CD is always in my car, too. Planning to see you again in Atlantic City or Reading.

Random thoughts here....Did you ever consider a compilation of Bee Gees music or Beach Boys?

Or another 70s suggestion - how about combining "Hooked on a Feeling" (the Blue Swede version, of course) with "Let Your Love Flow" or possibly even "Escape Song".

Can't wait to see another show!

@Katie - You're talking about "Live Your Life and Flo with Whatever You Like," which is also a favorite of mine that I frequently play #onrepeat. That one was recorded prior to Seggie and Tyler, FYI.

I'd love to hear what justice they could do with both S's and Terry"s suggestions. !! That would be over the top ,i'm sure. Be still my heart!! (just thinking about it) I know its been said of many people but i never agreed with it until now, but these guys Really " Could sing the Phone Book" . I'd love to hear what they could do with the Beach Boys , the Commodores And Earth Wind and Fire!!..

How about some Commodores or Earth Wind and Fire (as S. puts it) to improve on!

I think there are a few Beach Boys songs they could do justice to (or improve on!).

"Good Vibrations". I don't know if you guys' image is dark and dirty enough for you to pull off "Voodoo", but I bet the result would be interesting to listen to even if you didn't ever want to see it on YouTube.

Joanna, I really like your suggestions!

I just saw an acapella group at the end of Jay Leno tonight. I think their name is Naturally Seven and they sang "So this is Christmas". i enjoyed the song and haven't seen if snc has done that one - did i miss it? I'd enjoy hearing them sing that. What i especially liked is that they had the fellow doing the base positioned as if he were playing base guitar and a "drummer" sitting and acting as if he were playing the drums. This was a nice way to feature their talent as i've often wondered who was doing the "percussion" within snc (other than the faux trumpet)! Did anyone else see this, and if so what did you think?

"Fallin", by Alicia Keys. "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)"... Green Day performed it, dunno who wrote it. "Sunset Grill" by Don Henley. "My Immortal"... Evanescence performed it, dunno who wrote it.

    Oh, I forgot.
There's also a much earlier thread somewhere we've been listing songs we'd like to hear the guys do.
I remember there were some great ideas!
There's also a different thread, I think, where we were listing possible album titles keeping the same alcohol/drinking thing going that they've used since the beginning.
They also said at the last m & g we had that there weren't any current plans for a new cd or dvd from any of the tours, but I sure hope along with all that new lighting equipment they're dragging around with them, that there's also recording equipment, cause they're doing some great stuff!
A huge thanks to the guys letting us record & people putting them on youtube, but it really would be great to have an Atlantic released dvd!

flyergirl, they've done Moondance, & quite well too!
Someone else asked Dan about it earlier this year & he said since it was already recorded, & they'd been doing it since forever, it probably wouldn't be done again.
In the old IU version, it's Dan singing lead & faux trumpet.
It was also done on the live from NY PBS special, spring edition, that aired this spring, with Ryan as lead & Dan still doing the faux trumpet. Both wonderful too!
Check PBS listings or call your local station as you can probably still get a copy of that from them. It's not cheap tho, 85.00.

I heard this song on the radio this morning and instantly thought of you guys. Think you could really make a hit out of this.......Van Morrison's Moondance.

LOL...I'm not real familiar with the Reading area myself! I can barely find my way out of a wet paper bag, so I'm not much help when it comes to directions. Oh well.

Hey Julie! We live in Lansdale. Not sure how long it would take to get to the Reading arena....maybe an hour or 90 minutes? Never been to a venue up there before. Only know West Reading Hospital. Is it near there?

Joanna - what city/town do you live in? I'll be at the Reading show! I'm in New Holland.
