I have the Live at the Musical Arts Center dvd from 1998 that I found on ebay months ago after I discovered the boys & was looking for anything of theirs I could find.

I couldn't believe how great it is!

You can see how much the boys have grown & matured in their music on the main show, but what's unbelievable hilarious are the extras!

They used to do an end of year behind the music kind of spoof video, & they were so completely goofy, it's crazy!

I remember reading somewhere that atlantic now owns all of the older SNC IU music/video, & I think if that's correct, they don't need anyone's permission to re-release it cause it's now theirs to do anything or nothing with.
I think I've heard situations where things remained unreleased & the artist had no say in it, or vice versa. I could be entirely wrong on this also.

dPAM. If I knew the money was going towards the guys, I would totally buy.

If I'm right, Atlantic would have a hard time releasing any pre-record deal music because of IU copyrights. Trust me, if that's the case, IU is VERY strict with anything to do with their label. That's probably why they haven't done it already. The guys did everything with the IU sanction/sponsorship. That, and wouldn't they would have to get permission from the other guys as well...i.e. Patrick Hachey, Kevin Caroll to use their performances? Eye dee kay.

I wish they could rerelease it though...from the songs I've seen, it had to have been an AMAZING show.

Absolutely none, because it's being resold from other people.
Whatever means they have obtained them, they're from the 90s, so could be anywhere from garage or estate sales, auctions, whatever, or they could have originally bought them when they were new.
I remember seeing something somewhere that after the youtube 12 days video when nuts, Randy was hard pressed to get copies of the Live at the MAC dvd made, but I believe Atlantic now owns all of their pre-atlantic records media.
The last live at the mac dvd I saw on ebay went for 250.00.
Something is worth whatever someone else will pay for it.
    Atlantic, are you listening here?
I believe that unless Atlantic re-releases the cds & dvds, it's only going to get worse.

I'll see your yowsa and raise you a yikes! It would be cool to see the older stuff, but I'll have to wait for a cheaper means to do so. I wonder how much (if any) of that money anyone from SNC past or present is getting...

Just checked on Amazon, and there are a few things available on Amazon for those who are still looking!

"Straight No Chaser: Live at the Musical Arts Center" is available, both new and used. It costs $169.99 for the new one, and it costs $149.98 for the used one. Link here: http://amzn.to/9gQenJ

"Straight No Chaser", the very first college CD release, is also available used for $99.99. I have this one, and I love it. Just sayin'. ;-) Link here: http://amzn.to/bHogM7

Just so you all know, since they're from outside sellers and not Amazon, shipping and handling costs do apply.

The second DVD had 18 songs on it. I loaned that particular DVD out so couldn't check it but I think it is at least the same number.

That's not much for what those DVDs "cost" to get. Wonder where this person got it. Also, I could have sworn there were only 15 songs on it...thought I remembered the PBS person saying that during the broadcast. Maybe not.

Diva_Donna: This is the first DVD I was able to get--have almost worn it out as I play it so much! I'm looking for one of the DVD's from their college days!

Donna: I was bidding on the SNC video you mentioned but did not get it. I stopped bidding at $50. The person that got it is apparently is someone who does a lot on eBay. Yesterday I got the email that it had sold and almost fainted when I saw what it sold for--as much as I wanted it, that is far too much for me to even consider.

Not I. NOT paying $224 or $225 or however much it was for that DVD! I'm a starving college student (or soon to be, anyway)! ;)
