I would guess that the only reason to have SNC on TheSingOff is to show what can happen when an A Cappella group does move to being professional with a recording contract and becomes a national hit with Sold Out shows (Like today with 2 Sold Out shows in the same day in Chicago). Who would have ever thought A Cappella could do that??

So, the idea of a guest appearance would be okay to show the audience where one of these groups could end up in terms of style and polish, like showing them sing a song or clips of several for the audience to hear and see what they do live. Maybe a little interview about what it's like to be on the road touring as an A Cappella group, and what AC was like. .

If I'm not mistaken, the shows are taped, except for the finale. They have been on numerous other shows besides PBS. The Today Show, the Early Show on CBS, among local TV appearances in different cities they have traveled, as well as singing the national anthem at a few sporting events (Giants, Mets...)

It makes sense that they would not compete in The Sing-off, but would they be open to a guest appearance? If I'm not mistaken, it would be the biggest national exposure they've had, with the possible exception their PBS special.

I think one of the guys said something as to why they wouldn't be on the show during the last season. I forget who said it exactly, but it basically was what Julie said; since they're already signed to Atlantic, it's kinda pointless. But, they DO follow the show, since Deke Sharon plays a large part in the Sing Off. I think it would be SO COOL if they guested, too!

I'm thinking with SNC already having a signed contract with Atlantic Records, it would be a conflict of intererest to compete for a Sony recording contract. I thought this was for non-professional groups? But, I like the idea of SNC being a guest on the show!

I would say this program could definitely benefit from having a group like SNC appear, not as contestants but as an example of an acapella group who has done it the right way with their class, great music, and great shows. I sent an email to this show to suggest they should consider having SNC as guests and an example of what great acapella music really sounds like. If you want to see SNC on the show as guests, send the program an email and let them know! That would at least get SNC's name before the producers of this show!

    I have no idea. Maybe.
