Ordering Tickets through the Fan Club Ticketing

(20100824T020659Z )

Hey everyone!

I just have a quick question...I ordered tickets for the Milwaukee Pabst Theatre Concert on September 26th back in June...it's through Stars.bz. My credit card was charged back in July. They kept pushing back the date they said they were going to mail the tickets...now they say we'll be picking them up at Will Call.

I just wanted to make sure everybody else who has ordered tickets through the link on the site for "Fan Club Ticketing" was able to get their tickets no problems. I've got 2nd row seats and want to make sure I'm going to get them (It's my birhtday celebration!)

Thanks everyone!
Meagan

    Hi S-

Starz.bz is the company that sells the advanced tickets for the shows that you can buy here through the SNC website. It's the "Fan Club" ticketing. It's not a venue decision.

Wow. There have been several iffy-to-negative comments about people's experience with that ticket seller (broker?). Is that the only option for some venues?

Having had some problems with Starz.bz as they did not send me a confirmation for my order. I sent an email to them questioning why I had not received a confirmation and didn't hear from them for several weeks. I then sent them a cancellation notice to which I received a reply telling me you could not cancel an order----but within the same week I received my tickets in the mail. My event isn't until Nov. 22 and I received the tickets in early June. My suggestion is to get in touch with Starz.bz with an email or call them during the week as they were closed on weekends! Go to the source and who has your money!

Like Kathy, I haven't had any trouble with my tickets, either, whether I ordered through Starz.bz or Ticketmaster. We're both in Pennsylvania and going to the same venues, so it would appear this is a venue issue. Good luck to those of you that are having trouble. It just seems odd that these places have probably done this before so you think they would be better at it!

You know, I think I will try contacting the venue. That might explain a few things... Thanks!

So far, I have bought tickets for 4 concerts at 4 different venues from the fan site here. I received all of my tickets in the mail through Starz.bz without any problem, all tickets coming originally from the individual venues. I guess I was lucky, each venue apparently is a bit different and it would be nice if Starz.bz made this clear up front. I can see how confusing this must have been for some of you. Whenever I buy anything online, I make it policy to print and/or save all receipts and all emails with correspondence, in case of a glitch in the system. Biggest glitch I came across was in trying to obtain my DVD of the Christmas Concert from a Tacoma PBS station. It took 2 months, lots of emails and a few phone calls, but I did finally get what I ordered. Glad we have this fan site as outlet for our frustrations and to see if others have had the same problems. Chasers are great!!!!

Maybe call your venue and ask what their policy is. That's how we found out that our venue's policy is to keep the tickets at Will Call. And if you do have to pick your tickets up at Will Call, I would ask Starz.bz for a refund on your shipping....they refunded mine. I guess I would rather pick the tickets up at Will Call, then have them send the tickets to Starz.bz in California, then have them ship them all the way back to me in Wisconsin, when I live 20 minutes from the venue. Too much of a risk of the tickets getting lost.

Starz.bz also handles business for Barry Manilow, so I definitely think they're on the up and up...maybe just not as organized as we'd like them to be.

Beth: I'm also waiting for tickets I ordered back in June and while I agree that it's aggravating, I really don't think it's SNC's fault. The trouble is with the venue, since it seems they are the ones printing the tickets. Still, I honestly hope everything works out for you!

I’ve also been told to expect my tickets by the end of September, after being told to expect them in early August. I guess we’ll see. Then again, the concert I’m going to isn’t until December. Maybe I’m just impatient…

I haven’t been on this site very long; has there ever been this much trouble getting tickets before?

SNC needs to know this is unacceptable. Friends sitting apart or picking them up at Will Call. We order them months ahead of time so we get them in plenty of time and so we can sit together and experience the concert together.

I am still waiting on my tickets and am not happy. There is no reason not to mail them out immediately when paid for. I am in Houston and waiting.....

I ordered tickets in June for the 10/1 concert @ the Horseshoe in Indiana. First I was told by Starz.bz that my tickets would be mailed in August. Now they're are telling me they won't be mailed until the last week of Sept. which I think is cutting it kind of close. When I expressed this concern I was told not to worry I will get my tickets. I am still worried!

    (20100901T234834Z )

Yeah, apparently it's the venue's policy no to mail out tickets through fan clubs. So we have to pick them up through will call. Mystery has been solved! Thanks everybody!

Could it be just this venue? I ordered tickets through Stars.bz as soon as the dates were announced for the concert in Chattanooga on Sept. 23rd. They came in the mail about a month ago. The only hitch I had was in getting seats together. One is left stage front row, the other is 3rd row, right stage. Too bad two friends won't be able to sit together, but we'll be enjoying the show anyway and looking forward to the meet and greet afterward.

    Hi Meagan,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but I left a message on the Pabst Theatre answering machine, and did finally hear back, that this is their policy. They don't mail the tickets out and the man stated that the tickets can be picked up at the will call window, on the day of the concert, starting two hours before the show.
When I went on their website, I saw that this is the same policy for all their concerts. They never mail out tickets ahead of time if they are going out of state.

Meagan, it does look like we will get to meet. I actually purchased 6 tickets, seats 5 through 10 in
row BB. So far, I'm only using 2 of them, but I have a few friends who may want the others. If not
I may be on the SNC site seeing if anyone needs any tickets.

    See you on the 26th,
    Barbara

    Hi Barbara,

Hmmmm....that's interesting. I didn't get a package yesterday. Did it say anything about them being at Will Call? I am row BB, seats 1, 2, 3 and 4. Maybe we're sitting next to each other?

If you get any info fromt he theatre, let me know!

    Thanks!
    Meagan

    Hi Meagan,
I also ordered tickets for the Milwaukee show and received a packet from Starz.bz yesterday,
but no tickets, just verification of my order. I also got second row (BB) so hopefully we weren't sold the same tickets. Hope to see you at the show. I think I will call the theatre today, so to make sure.

    Barbara
