Well that was an eye opener.... silly me thought let me check out ebay for tickets.... the prices i took one look and clicked off it. I found it interetsing that all the spring concert tickets were listed the day the ticket sales opened.

Hi, Cindy. The venues might have single seats if you call them directly. I got a single seat to see them in PA a couple weeks ago that way. The event I posted about on the link also had a single they wanted to sell but it required a patron membership to the theater. Since it's over 2 hours away, I knew I'd never go there again, so I passed on that one. Hope something becomes available so that you get to go. There's nothing like seeing them live. Good luck and all the best for 2010.

The website might not be updated to show 'Sold Out' venues yet. Most went on sale right before Christmas and with the tour ending and the holidays, it's possible the websites just haven't been updated to aid in identifying sold out locations.

I truly understand the frustration of the PBS tickets causing problems, but I'm a bit on the fence. Yes, they have taken alot of seats but it's an organization that funds educational programing and provides concerts like they did with SNC for our enjoyment at home through the generousity of viewers donations. It's a catch-22 in my opinion. They need to fund-raise to offer exceptional programming available to all at no charge (PBS isn't cable, it's free broadcasting), but in order to entice donations, especially in this economy, they want to offer something in return if feasible.

I'd say that I'd love to see SNC in bigger venues to accomodate the number of fans but then I'd be on that fence again because I love the accoustics of the smaller places they are choosing... just can't make up my mind on anything tonight LOL

I just tried to purchase tickets at 5 different locations and each time it says nothing available even though the venues are not marked as sold out. kind of sad since in my lifetime I have not ever wanted to attend a concert until now. I do appreciate the programming PBS provides but if indeed they have monopolized several venues; I find that very disappointing for those who do not have the revenue to obtain tickets for a high pledge. I'm just glad I recorded and saved the PBS special. I think ive watched it 40 times and still makes me smile and takes my mind off troubles.

PBS has monopolized several venues. Tickets went for a $150 pledge. I got yuck seats on my own (all that was left) and wound up pledging to get orchestra seats. Poverty and shock have not taken over the euphoria yet --haha

There have been a number of comments to this effect. I would like to hear what management has to say about this.

I tried to get tickets for the April 21st show in Pittsburgh only to find out that the local PBS station has the entire theater on hold. I'm rather upset that they can do that and that SNC is ok with that. What about us little people that can't afford to pay $120 for 2 tickets and are just looking for the peanut heaven ticket so we can enjoy the music with our family and friends. I guess it just comes down to the almighty dollar.

Nice mention in there about PA's own charming and talented duo : )

We love the guys in PA :-) I know York, PA sold out quickly (got my tickets!) and I think Pittsburgh is sold out, too!!

I'm excited for them that the seats are selling out so well!! Yay!
