Check your local PBS listings for  our favorite group. I received my schedule a few days ago, as was delighted to see my local station (Rocky Mountain PBS KRMA) is airing SNC a couple of times this month - Wed., June 2 @ 7pm & Sat., June 5 @ 4pm

"The 10-man a capella group Straight No Chaser perform contemporary songs and classics. Included: "Bohemian Rhapsody/Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours"; I'm Yours/Somewhere Over the Rainbow";"You Send Me";"The Lion Sleeps Tonight".

Finding this while looking for opera (Simon Boccanegra w/Placido Domingo in June) was a special treat.

    coppermoney -

Yes, I do have extra tickets to the Denver show. I won't be able to decide which tickets I'm keeping until I get the PBS tickets, which they said could take a couple more weeks. I'll let you know as soon as I decide which tickets to keep.

Redhead. I left you another comment elsewhere that I thought you would see personally. I wondered if you wanted to sell some of your Denver tickets? Sounded like you had more than you need. email me at pkidd@larimer.org if you do!

muttitjc - yes, the PBS Meet & Greet is different from how the guys graciously make themselves available to the chasers after the concerts. They make themselves so accessible to us, signing CDs & posing for pictures after the shows - it's wonderful. I also know it's very hard work for them, to try to remember people's names, have a personal word with everyone, encourage the youngsters, etc. right after a long show.

The PBS Meet & Greets are backstage before the shows, and are a fundraiser for the local PBS stations. I was happy to pledge to my local station to get the Meet & Greet tickets, but I'll probably sell the concert tickets that come with them to another fan, as I already had 2nd row seats. I'll make that decision when the tickets arrive - of course I will sit in the best seats +smile+

@muttitjc I believe it is different. In LA this spring, they did a pre-show meet and greet with group photos for the PBS purchasers. Then they did the standard post-show meet and greet, as well.

Just wanted to pass this along to anyone living in the St Louis area. I was just flipping through channels and see that SNC is on PBS tonight. It didni't show anything when I did a search last week on Direct TV. The are on again at 10:00 Central. Yes, it is the same one from New York, but I didn't get to see it the last time.

I do have a question though. They are saying that you buy tickets in a special section of the balcony and have a meet and greet. Is this something different from the Meet and Greet that the guys do after the concerts? I already have tickets in the second row for the concert here in St Louis.

Thanks, Julie. It was indeed a good day +smile+

Of course, now I have lots of extra tickets to the Denver show. I'm sure there are some other fans out there who will appreciate some good seats.

I hope other chasers get a shot at the meet and greet tickets for the fall during the pledge drive this month.

    Aaaah, such a lovely day.

Spent $8 million at work, had a massage, treated myself to Chipotle for dinner, pledged $240 for meet & greet tickets for the October concert, and get to sing along with the special.

Oh, & wttw is still showing an old pic with the wrong guys, maybe someone should enlighten them?

Looks like the show on pbs tonight is the same live from ny one we had earlier this spring, at least from what I can tell from their website.
Checking pbs for the ticket prices, for a pair, not the meet & greet ones, it's 150.00. That's 30.00 up from this spring. If what everyone else is saying here, I'm guessing it's going to be 250.00 for 2 of them for the meet & greet, up 40.00, & as wonderful as it was, front seat orchestra pit, I'm not sure I want to pay that kind of money, especially since I'm going to AC this summer. Maybe we'll just do the stand in line thing after the concert instead. It's 12/11 & they're going to have a matinee as well as an evening show.
Hopefully we'll have the chance of advance tickets for these concerts as we have for others, & we'll still be able to get great seats without having to pay the pbs prices.

How come no one from the web site is saying anything about this?
I'm not sure if someone here went to the wttw site & had an email sent to me with the info cause I asked, or if I somehow had a reminder for anything SNC on pbs, but I got an email today saying they're on tonight, & I'm here in the middle of nowhere unable to set the machine at home to record it or see it here.
The way the write up sounds, it could be the live from NY concert we saw this spring, or another one, I can't tell, does anyone know?

SheriS: It wasn't so much about the price of the tickets (although, I agree...ouch!). But our station didn't even take the time to proof their "Ad." They've posted two different venues and two different prices all in the same "blurb." And, the one venue they mentioned in the title of the listing, the guys are NOT even singing at! So, if I'm Joe Public, thinking I'm going to see SNC at American Music Theater in Lancaster and pay $250, then find out I could have paid only $200 and the show is actually in Hershey, PA (which is an hour west), they may have more disgruntled customers.

Laughing at SamanthaJH: Victor Borge. What's that they say about beating a dead horse? LOL

As I wrote in another discussion, I'm 2 miles beyond the end of the earth on vacation, wireless doesn't work here, so I'm on 14-28k dialup. Trying to check the chicago wttw listings, forget about it!
Can someone check for me to see if they're playing it & when?
And, is it the same live from ny show or something else?
    Thanks!
