SNC on PBS in June

(20100528T161205Z )

Check you listings. I note that my local station (Denver) is showing Straight No Chaser - Live in New York special on Wednesday, June 2 at 7 pm, Satuday June 5 at 1 pm, Sunday June 6 at 10:30 pm,

"The 10-man a capella group Straight No Chaser perform the contemporary songs and classics. Included: "Bohemian Rhapsody/Signed, Dealed, Delivered I'm Yours";"I'm Yours/Somewhere Over the Rainbow";"Yous Send Me";"The Lion Sleeps Tonight"." (2010)

Finding this on the schedule when I was looking for opera (Simon Bocconegra with Placido Domingo this month) was a happy surprise.

Thanks for the info. I just checked and it's included in my local PBS schedule. I haven't seen the show yet, so I'm really looking forward to next week. :-)

My PBS station posted an EPIC FAIL. I didn't get past their pledge offer for one of SNC's performances in Pennsylvania. They posted the wrong venue in the title of the plede offer (they got it right in the body of the information). Ok. I can understand an error. But they are not even playing (at any time) at the venue which is listed. I still let it go. Until, they mentioned in one sentence you could get a pair of tickets for a pledge of $200, then state in the next paragraph: "Receive two tickets to this amazing performance as our way of saying thank you for a contribution of $250." Say Whaaaaaaaat? I e-mailed them and asked if there was a position open for proofreader.

I got my newsletter today and unfortunately, SNC is not listed at all! BAH! I have basically stopped watching them as most of what they show here is BORING AND NOT WORTH MY TIME! Makes me very sad as I spent many years with the incredible station that helped SNC do the DVD in the first place. That is one terrific station which has grown leaps and bounds from the days I had to use their education series in my 4th grade class when teaching math. My Honey and I used to volunteer for them as well. Guess I'll just have to watch my own DVD's!
