Straight No Chaser Discussion

I have heard them in the local mall and at Shotz (a bar for Shot varieties). Now that I think about it, those two places are polar opposites. But I digress. I've also heard Ryan Ahlwardt's solo album being played at the mall, specifically in Pennys. That was pretty cool

I still have yet to hear them in a store. As I've stated somewhere on this site, the first and only time I've heard them other than at concerts, TV and my car, was at a funeral of a daughter of my friend. The daughter and mother had just attended both concerts in Fresno in the previous weeks. It was "You're My Best Friend". Quite a beautiful tribute.

SheriS: I also heard them while grocery shopping -- I went to the grocery directly (Do Not Pass Go!) after returning from Atlantic City (had just seen them perform, and here they are overhead, too!), and in the store (Wegmans), I hear "You're My Best Friend" playing overhead. As you commented, it was a comforting sound after having been in the car for 4+ hours!
I hope to hear them more when I'm out and about :)

Two weeks ago while doing my grocery shopping, I suddenly heard some singing and immediately starting singing along as it was SNC. What a shock as I have never heard music over the sound system in the store before, but it was happening! What a comforting sound while doing my most dreaded chore!

I heard one of their songs also in the M&M place in Times Square. Coincidentally, it was the same day I went to see them in April.

I heard Christmas Cheers in Times Square last year. M & M World, I think...

I only heard the Christmas Cheers CD over the holidays...I work part time at Ulta Beauty. I wish they would get some With A Twist on...fo realll.

I work at a Hy-Vee in Lincoln, and ive never heard any SNC songs on the Hy-Vee Radio Network...Lynnette which Vee were you at?! i might transfer to that one...lmao ;]

At Borders in Michigan, was there to pick up one thing and ended up staying long enought to make more great purchases for the kids.

Just spent some time in my local Barnes & Noble - I walked in on "Tainted Love" being played, and the album kept going from there (so I obviously missed "I'm Yours/Somewhere Over The Rainbow"). I only went in to pick something up that I had ordered, but quickly found a place to sit and read to the sounds of SNC! (So, a trip that should have taken all of fifteen minutes to drive there and back has taken me just over an hour... and it was so worth it!)

The day I went to see them in NYC last month I was in the M&M store and one of their songs came on. My friends and I stopped what we were doing and laughed thinking what a coincidence it was.

I gifted the CD to my where I go for therapy; it's one they play daily if not more often now.

Shaina: you are supposed to be studying and you are listening to music---shame on you! So far I've heard it once in the last couple of days, but I can't remember where it was. How cool is it that B & N are playing it--that should peek the interest of a few people in the store. I will be listening more carefully as I am out and about this week. HAPPY STUDYING!
