Tickets for the December show in Chicago

(20100609T160114Z )

Hey all,

Anyone able to tell me when the tickets will be going on sale for the December show in Chicago?  I have been looking online every day since the June 4th show in Waukegan and they haven't shown up in either Ticketmaster or the Chicago Theater.  Thanks for your help!

Thank you, Diva_Donna and cmsstevens for your replies. I will try to go to the box office in downtown.

Kim, I would say 2L is better then 1R because 1R would be in the section all the way to the right closest to the wall & 2L would be 2nd section from the wall, right next to 3 which is the center section.

Kim, if you go to the theatre's website http://www.thechicagotheatre.com/seating/ you will get an idea about the seating. For the Main Floor it is a flat floor with a slight "ramping". Which means that the row in front of you is very slightly a bit lower then you. It is not a stadium steps. The Balcony is steps and each row is a step higher then the other. I would suggest that if you are in the area I would stop by the theatre, the box office is open each day noonish till I think 6ish and they can help you with seating, plus you wont pay ticket master fees. Keep your eye on PBS too, because it is a PBS show they might have a promotion between now and then. IF you happen to get a very tall person infront of you ask an usher or the house manager for a booster or cushion. Hope this helps!

Glad to see that the tickets are up for sale now. it wasn't there before but now I wish I couldn've seen this earlier cuz it seem the good seats in the front are gone now. just checked the 3 pm show and the best available is the main floor section 2L row Q or section 1R row D. can anyone tell me which is better for kids viewing? I have 6 yr and 10 yr so they are short and it's hard for them to see over big people. just trying to find the best seat possible for them. i've not been to chicago theatre before so if anyone can help me with this, I'd really appreciate it. TIA!

I must have been in a fog with these darn allergies, cause I missed the new postings here. I did go over to the page where the tour dates are listed & think I got the last 3 tickets for either show on the original page it linked to, but they aren't together. These were the orchestra pit seats on the presale page for us. I got 2 in the 2nd row in 4R & 1 in the 3rd row in 4L.
I'm hoping maybe I can get my fellow section attendees to move down one seat so I can at least get my friend in the same section with us.
What a strange & wonderful time this has been. It's only been about 7 months since I first happened on the Live from NY Xmas concert on PBS, but it seems like they've been in my life forever!

Thanks, cmsstevens. I can't make use of that, but many people can. How in the world did you come up with the code? Those have been very hard to find.

Straight No Chaser (12/11) presale starts at 10AM today. Use Code: HCTWIST http://www.thechicagotheatre.com/tickets/promotion.html?p_id=HCTWIST

    Oh, I forgot!
It's really not even a matter of when they'll go on sale, the date isn't even listed there.
And, it's not cause the tickets aren't on sale yet either, cause there are others that just don't have the get tickets button.
I'm going over to the web crew post & ask.

I just got home from vacation & 26.4k dial up, so mostly I stayed off the puter, & was just thinking about that also & came over to see if there was anything about it.
I also am glad I'm not the only one.
Whoever sees it first, please post here or somewhere anyway.
I know you can get them from pbs again, but I'm not gonna do the meet & greet thing again, but I am going to the concert.
PBS has the regular tickets, but they went up.
Maybe someone can tell us how much the regular ones are going to be so we can decide if we want to go the pbs route.

Alexis, no clue. Sorry. Glad I'm not the only one looking for that information. Hopefully one of the guys or their management crew can chime in with the answers we need.
