A graduate of New Trier High School, I went on to receive my BA in English Literature from the University of Illinois at Chicago, an MA in English Literature from DePaul University, and a Masters in Teaching (Secondary Education) from National Louis University. Shortly after graduated, I taught English and Writing at the College of Lake County and at Northeastern Illinois University. I moved to Athens, Greece in 2004, where I lived for two years and taught at the Hellenic American University. Since my return to the Chicago area, I taught English at Regina Dominican High School and worked as the Director of After School Programs at a non-profit organization on the south side of Chicago (Bronzeville area). In May of 2009 I got married... and my husband and I settled down in Glenview, IL.
