I am a middle school teacher & mom of four kids- currently one 9-year-old and three 6-year-olds. I first heard Straight No Chaser around Christmas 2008. I was driving to work, flipping radio stations, when I came across "12 Days of Christmas". I hadn't heard an intro by a DJ, so at first it sounded like a regular, serious cover of the holiday standard. Once the SNC antics began, I was laughing out loud and I kept laughing & grinning through the rest of the song. I probably looked like a goof to anyone driving by, but I don't care. Straight No Chaser music still brings a smile to my face.
Since becoming active on this site, I have met (both online and in person) many other Chasers. What a great group of people have been brought together by our shared love of all things SNC!

Ladies Home Journal, Oprah's mag- her show gets on my nerves, but I found myself buying her magazine at the grocery store checkout line so often that I finally subscribed

I'm a middle school teacher and I rarely read grown up fiction. I really enjoyed the Harry Potter series, and I've always been fond of The Chronicles of Narnia. I love reading good books with my 9-year-old. I like biographies- Dr. Seuss and Mr. Geisel was a good one.
