I'm first and foremost a sinner saved by Elohim's grace through faith in His Son Yeshua, engrafted into His family, and made a joint heir with His Son. To a much lesser degree of importance, I'm also a lifetime a cappella fan. I've been singing in choirs since I was 11, after growing up with groups like Take 6, GLAD and AcappellA. In high school, the King's Singers were my boy band. I've been in symphony orchestra choruses, small arts ensembles, and the occasional musical theater and opera production, but I get most excited over singing Renaissance, 20th century and vocal jazz a cappella pieces. I'm currently a member of the Ars Nova Singers, an a cappella vocal arts ensemble out of Boulder, CO. The only other musical thing that gets me just as excited is teaching others how to sing and perform. Praise be to my Adonai for blessing us with the ability to produce sounds of beauty with our mouths - it's just too bad that out of the same mouths can come the most worthless garbage.

Favorite SNC College Memory
has nothing to do with SNC, but singing Disney songs and Renaissance madrigals and motets w/ fellow music majors for fun, and also watching Elf in my pajamas in the college cafeteria and then listening to the college president tell bedtime stories to a few hundred pajama-clad college students (who were all hugging pillows or their favorite stuffed animals)

All my amazing voice teachers and my jr. high & high school choir teachers, King's Singers, GLAD, Take 6, AcappellA, John Rutter and the Cambridge Singers, The King's College Choir of Cambridge, Eric Whitacre, Morten Lauridsen, Robert Shaw and the Robert Shaw Chorale, the great polyphonic compositions of the Late Middle Ages & Renaissance, Gregorian chant, all the Disney heroines, Sutton Foster, Julie Andrews, every excellent choir I've had the privilege to sing in, and the glorious hymns I've grown up with all of my life.
