Mamacita, donde esta Santa Claus?
Donde esta Santa Claus?
And the toys that he will leave.
Mamacita, oh, where is Santa Claus?
I look for him because it's Christmas Eve.
I know that I should be sleeping,
But maybe he's not far away,
Out of the window I'm peeping,
Hoping to see him in his sleigh.
I hope he won't forget to pack his castinets
And to his reindeer, say,
On perro (Randawg!) On gordo (Fatty!) On verde (Green!) maÃz dulce (Sweet Corn!)
Ole! Ole! Ole! cha cha cha.
Mamacita, donde esta Santa Claus?
Oh! Where is Santa Claus?
It's Christmas Eve.
I know that I should be sleeping,
But maybe he's not far away,
Out of the window I'm peeping,
Hoping to see him in sleigh.
I hope he won't forget to pack his castinets
And to his reindeer, say,
On room (Romeski!) Carne (Turf!) Asada (and Turf!) and Sluggs
Ole! Ole! Ole! cha cha cha.
Mamacita, donde esta Santa Claus?
Oh! Where is Santa Claus?
It's Christmas Eve.
Ole! Ole! Ole!
It's Christmas Eve.
Ole! Ole! Ole!
It's Christmas Eve.

I love that there seems to be no translation for Sluggs. Makes me laugh every time I hear it!
I figured it was Tyler, w/ the Iowa connection. I guess Turf could be Charlie, DR, and/or Seggie, since I don't think they're accounted for in the rest of the reindeer "roll call". I think Cobra is cobra in Spanish, or something close to it...
Eileen- I know Sweet Corn is Tyler, I'm not sure about Turf...I'm curious to know too.

AND I never heard the parenthetical translations the guys chant until I listened here tonight & my daughter pointed them out to me. That kid has a great ear! (Her reaction when she just read this over my shoulder: Ha! Woo hoo!)
Who's Turf, BTW? And Sweet Corn?
HAHAHAHA! This week while listening to Christmas Cheers over & over again in my car, I realized what Santa is calling out to his reindeer in this song! Toooo funny!
I love donde esta santa claus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
