7 Days
So the CD has been out a week. It was actually a quiet week in SNC World as I think all of us are holding our breath to see how many people actually pick up our album. The day it came out was a really weird day for me. I was training a new hire at work so I was actually really busy, but all day long my friends were calling and sending cell phone pics of the disc at Borders, Best Buy, etc. Our picture was on the homepage of iTunes Holiday section. My mom called and cried.
Hold on a minute. Let me give you a little background on my mom. She's a crier. Not that it's a bad thing, but over the years I've gotten used to my mom crying about a whole bunch of stuff. But this was definitely different. She was crying because she was really proud of her son. That was definitely the best call of the day!
So how did I celebrate? My wife took me out to dinner. Beforehand we had some friends over for champagne. It was very low-key and very cool. The calm before the storm...
And now we're on the eve of our first week out and I want to know, what do you think? We spent some serious time getting this disc out and I hope you all like it. How many people bought or downloaded it? I hope millions. Oh, wait. What am I thinking? I know it was millions. So thank you!

wow, seriously?? that's insane... not because people would be insane to buy it (i bought 3 and downloaded it from itunes - actually that is a little insane/stalker-ish) but because 1,216,039 albums in 1 week??? wow. you guys are even cooler than i thought. :)
but you have to figure out how to change this site so you can send a message to more than one person at once... it is getting exhausting writing little notes to everyone. can't i just say this: mike, jerome, charlie, steve, dave, walt, randy, and dan (and ryan and other mike, whom i do not know) - i am SUPER excited for all of you. the album is phenomenal, and i can't wait until your next non-christmas recording. and just know this... the rippies are planning a reunion to come see you on tour somewhere... time and date tbd. yikes.
